The unequal size of the kneeling man to the wings honestly makes me see someone feeling burdened by their goodness. A person that is wholly good, an angel on earth if you will, but feels disrespected and taken advantage of. It feels very much like a crises for this person, like "do I want to continue to bear these wings, or let them fall?" That aside, this is one of the most beautiful pieces of art I have ever seen. I love that you made them light up. Just absolutely breathtaking. Brilliant job, Bobby!

@sarahm30634 жыл бұрын
@@youmenly that’s the beauty of art though, isn’t it? there’s the meaning behind it that the artist intended, and then there’s hundreds of thousands of different meanings from different people. neither of us are wrong; i’m not for interpreting the interpretated piece as disproportionate, and you aren’t for viewing it as proportionate. this is a video after all, maybe our interpretations would be different in person. :)

I'll never understand how a canvas witha blue line can sell for millions of dollars or be put in a museum but Bobby Duke can make a literal master piece that would leave people in shock and awe for KZbin views. Absolutely incredible as always.
@ArloMathis Жыл бұрын
From a genuine perspective, the first type is more challenging 'what is art' and trying to do weird things that make the viewer ask questions. Art is a conversation between the piece and the viewer, so you saying 'why is this considered art?' is the POINT. If you're unfamiliar, look up Fountain by Marcel Duchamp from 1917. From a cynical perspective, that first one is basically tax writeoffs and money laundering. Some rich dude gets his art appraiser buddy to *say* something is worth $1 million, then he gets to donate it and get tax credit for charity. Or he can leave it in his will to his kids, who can sell it and not have to pay inheritance tax like if he gave them $1 million in actual currency.

dawg, as someone who was offered an internship to an art school despite not having my degree in any form of illustrative art whatsoever, it is one of the biggest scams if you don't do some heavy fucking research. i hadn't applied for this college before, never heard of it, and when i researched their internship on google, there were hundreds of reddit threads of people getting scammed out of hundreds of thousands of dollars for virtually nothing. it is so embarrassing, especially considering you hear hundreds of news articles and schools preach about art dying out and not showing creativity anymore, and then you go and scam people out of so much money just to do basically nothing.

@kuromiLayfe4 жыл бұрын
It is called phantom sense and it can be pretty creepy at first (at the beginning you have to see it but after a long time it can even become that the person touching the replica can be 500 feet away and you will still feel a tingling where the person touches on your real hand). research about it are divided if it is real or fake as it differs from person to person and mostly linked to the person accepting the replica to be the real hand. Amputees tend to have it much more common but people playing video games and VR also develop it (some even train to get it for much higher immersion, yet it has a downside as a too high level of phantom sense actually can cause phantom injuries (bruises and even permanent scars).
@googiegress4 жыл бұрын
@@kuromiLayfe Or what if, like, you could sense where all your past pee was, no matter how scattered and diluted. About as likely. The thing with amputees and VR you have completely wrong, but with the trappings of sounding right. Actually all that happens is people begin to act like the fake limb is real, and might report "feeling" something when they see the limb is touched. But when you blindfold them, and poke pins in the fake limb, they obviously can't actually feel anything. Because magic isn't real. So it's not about a pseudoscience mystical spirit connection. It's about humans having natural reactions of moving their bodies to avoid harm, and when a body part is gone and replaced they use the same instincts to preserve that fake body part the same way they would if it were real. Same reason people who play realistic video games might wince when their character falls off a cliff.

he says he is an artist but he cannot estimate the proportions .. all the work for only a half-finished result .. i would be very dissatisfied with myself. and do it all over again. The sculpture is much too small for the wings .. The shape doesn't quite fit, .. it would be much better and would cost less .. so I can only say that it is badly made. SP: we not from USA ^^ we got not so much brainwash like you all. ^^ maybe that´s why
@tim45914 жыл бұрын
@@PuffTheMagicDragon11B you’re so right. Especially who cause it’s an angel, a fictional figure so why does it has to be “proportional”. It’s the wings which make angels special so o think they should be exaggerated.
@sage32554 жыл бұрын
@@DasOhneEnde I would LOVE to see you make what he made, but make it "proportionate" I doubt you could make THAT sculpture, like, if you made what he made, you would be dissatisfied with yourself? 😂 Stop acting like: "OH iTs A fIcTiOnAl ChArAcTeR oF wHIcH hAs No ScIeNtIiFiC pRoPorTiOns. BuT iM tOo BrAiN dEaD tO sEe tHe gOoD iN tHe ActUaL ArT pIeCe iTsElf AnD tHE TiMe He PuT iNtO iT fOr Us TO ENJOY." Its art that he put time into, angels are fictional and we dont know how big their wings would be. So there are no "CORRECT" proportions. I'd love to see you make an almost exact replica of what he made but use the "right" proportions.
