for me it is just sad that they paid this beautiful homage to the D-type, but didnt make it like a light weight special version. Like give it a porsche GT3 rs treatment like why would you need all these comfort features in this kind of ridiculous car?

Sam's 3 car garage (as I've learned from watching this channel); 1. Ferrari Challenge Stradale 2. Ferrari 250 SWB 3. Jaguar F-Type Project 7 So, Sam, anything else interesting? Fun fact about how the Project 7 came about; an Italian artist (can't remember who), made a sketch based on the F-Type, to see what a modern D-Type would look like. He posted it onto social media, and Ian Callum (Jaguar's chief designer and my favourite designer. He designed the F-Type, C-X75, Nissan R390, Aston DB7... really, the only spot on his resumé is a pretty big/bad one... the Ford Puma...) saw it, and liked it. Also, I really liked the spec of your F-Type. The only thing I didn't like was the stripes on the tires. Lastly, I think the reason the F-Type Project 7 (there was one in Holland for €125k btw) is so cheap is because it's British... or rather, not Italian. Think about it, a Mercedes 300SL costs about the 1M mark in any currency, a standard DB5 costs about 750k, and a S1 E-type can cost less than 500k. All the while, yes the 250 GTE costs 250k-350k, but prices for litterally any other 250 start at 2M. There's a 250 Pininfarina Spider for sale in Spain now, it is complete in terms of having parts, but the car is completely dissassembled and rusted, and it costs €2M! Even for a Pininfarina Spider it isn't an interesting spec seeing as it has the more common body style without the lensed headlights.

Honestly miss your Jaguar F-Type, not just for the car itself but the videos you and Paul (with his AMG GT) made were unbelievable. They were real "feel good" videos, especially when you were in the South of France etc.

Project 7 is one of angriest sounding V8 (and SVR) and that supercharger makes it sound like much older muscle cars. As much as I love Koenigseggs V8 sound it’s little muted by turbochargers. And I’m so happy when I saw Project 7 and historical cars from Jaguar lineup on display in Kraków Gallery

Two things are keeping the price down on this car. Firstly... no roof. In Britain, and northern Europe/America, there's pretty much a good chance it'll rain for much of the time. To buy a car you can only really take out about 25 days a year with confidence isn't everyone's idea of a great investment. Secondly, I reckon that despite all its uprated power, drivers 'hump'...etc... it's a little too close to the regular F-Type convertible (which HAS a great working roof), meaning, you can have 95% of the fun with none of the drawbacks for around £55,000.

I was looking at getting an SVR but this exhaust sounds crazy. RWD might be a problem in rainy England though. How's it like as a daily driver? These don't depreciate as much as SVR do (I've seen some 2-3 year old SVR's that are half the new price) but no one really puts miles on them. I wonder if you can put that exhaust on an SVR.
