I finally finished Dark Souls 3 and now I need therapy

The end of Dark Souls 3. This game had me struggling on almost every single boss and raging more then I have ever in my life. But, at the end of the day, it was still really fun and now I can't wait for the Elden Ring DLC and whatever comes with it

bit of a lore dump for the final boss. Since between dark souls 1 and 3, the fire has been linked hundreds of times over thousands of years. The final boss phase 1 is a combination of everyone who linked the fire via all the different builds it switches between. Phase 2 is Gwyn the final boss of dark souls 1 who forever guards the flame a strength faith build.

The Soul of cinder is one of the most beautiful final bosses ever. They are everyone that has ever linked the fire, since Dark souls 1; They are me, and you; That's why they have all of the builds, symbolizing every character that has ever linked the flame. Cannonically it makes sense because the fire has been linked an uncountable number of times... but it also encompasses every and each player that has played the games of the franchise. It is pure metalanguage. Second phase is Gwyn, the god that has first linked the flame (play DS1, it was very nostalgic for people who had already played). This fight gives me the chills.

This spring i first played DS trilogy and loved it. Of course i had difficults but it was worth. This games taught me to be proud of myself. I would say, that games was kind of therapy for me. Now i feel myself like i can do everything with my persistence.

Its dumb to start a rookie off with ds1 and ds2, the mechs aren't smooth and polished plus the game just throws you in. Playing ds3 and er will get you indulge with the series. I've been playing ds games since 2012

the last fight is kinda like a "show me you are worthy of being a lord by beating me" fight its a combination of every previous lord... including the one from ds1 with the music and some weapon combo's with the lightning

Congratulations! You're playing though the games lowkey backwards from how I did, DS3 was my 2nd soulsborne game. So it's been a minute since I've seen/had a fresh reaction to the last boss. You actually were over leveled at the end because Gael is supposed to be the final boss of the SERIES, while the Soul of Cinder is supposed to be the final boss of DS3. Ironically, trying to avoid the final boss actually led you to fight the real final boss. This game also has 4 different endings.

Yo Flo you gotta try Sekiro after this. In many of the fans opinions Sekiro is the hardest game Fromsoft has made in the "Soulslike" catalogue and it's a great challenge, the combats so rewarding to learn and master, its beautiful all the areas look great or have great views or set pieces, the "Die twice" mechanic is cool especially when you first start it helps get used to how different the combat is and should you not want the hand holding of the revives you can choose whether or not to revive when you die. There's a bunch of other things that make it a great game definetly check it out sometime.
