Thank you so much for watching! I’ll have the einkorn cheddar biscuits on my blog soon. Mockmill and Nutrimill have a variety of grain mills that meet different needs and budgets. Can’t wait for your mason jar to overflow! I saved up and researched for a while before finally buying. ❤️❤️❤️

I enjoyed this! In my house the husband (me) is the bread maker, so we just got the Mockmill 200😁! It’s a six year warranty so still pretty good! I got mine in March. I have settled on using a good organic bread flour as the base and then adding fresh milled flour for flavour and health. For sandwich bread I use a 50-50 mix and for sourdough I put in 25% fresh milled. I’m looking forward to experimenting with different grains for different flavours! I got one of those Vevo sifting machines, it works well but there is a lot of waste, I may employ it in the future though depending on what the books I’m getting for Christmas say!

Hey there! How do you like the Vevo sifter? I haven't tried one yet. I think a 50-50 mix is a great comprise. That's how I do many of my recipes, especially if I'm craving a fluffier white bread texture. But lately, I've been enjoying making 100% whole grain bread. Surprisingly, my husband liked the 100% whole grain better than white bread. I hope you have a happy holiday! Thanks for watching!

@ The Vevo sifter certainly works as advertised! You do need to rig up a system to cover the receiving bowl and spout with a cloth to reduce flour dust, I managed to cover everything on one floor of our house in a fine film of flour dust😬 before I figured that out! I also found there is quite a lot of waste as a result of sifting. It adds a fair chunk of time to preparing your dough and in my opinion the final product, after coarse and then fine sifting, is a lot like the result I get blending the fresh milled flour 50-50 with good organic white flour. If I could go back in time I don’t really think I would buy the sifter again knowing what I know now.

We have nearly the same kitchen gadgets. I also got a Mockmill in August '24 but I got the Mockmill Lino 200. I recently got the Komo FlocMan grain flaker. I love it. I've been flaking oats and fermenting them overnight. You need one. I spied your Breville Barista Pro. I have one too in the dark gray color. I roast my own coffee beans. I'm really enjoying my new Mockmill and I know you will too.

How funny! My husband has been eyeballing some of the KoMo products. I'll tell him about the grain flaker. I think he would have preferred the KoMo grain mill. But I really love how the Mockmill looks on the counter. I'll have to check out the grain flaker. Also, we LOVE our Barista Pro. I could definitely get into roasting my own coffee beans. Any recommendations for how to get started? Thanks for watching!

Oooooh, do you have any tips? So far, I've used hard red winter wheat for bread and einkorn for biscuits and pancakes. I can't wait to try more!

soft white wheat for waffles and pancakes is my fav. And a mix of hard red and hard white make a really good muffin.

I just tried soft white wheat for pancakes over the weekend. They were really good. I have a new waffle iron on the way, so I'll try waffles soon.

I forgot to mention that with our really hard red spring wheat I find I like the flour better if I do a first really course grind and then a second fine grind.

Oh, interesting. I haven't tried grinding it twice yet. I should try that next time! Thanks for the tip!
