When I went to school it was mostly hospital based. 3 year Diplomas. (yes I am old)Bsn was not something most people went for. Hospitals had a boatload of choices for nurses. We did not have shortages of nurses then. Now everything is harder ;to get in school and graduate from school. Being a nurses is way harder. I wish you great luck. Thank you so much. It definitely is harder to get into school now and though most people say you only need an ADN to get a job, a lot of hospitals are leaning towards BSN nurses.

The NextGen nclex is coming up soon🥺and I just fail the exam on my second attempt🥺🥺🤦‍♂️💔,I cannot begin to articulate the level of embarrassment and heartache I'm feeling right now 🤕😣,I'm confident that I will be a good nurse too. I just need to get past this too and move on. 🥺

Just say "I haven't passed yet." Don't take it as a failure but see it as a learning opportunity. There is a lot of power in "Yet"; you are telling yourself that you will get there and that your eyes and heart are still fixed on your goal.

Everything you said, having a psychology bachelor's degree, science prereqs expiring. wanting a quicker way to become a nurse, not wanting to do an entrance exam. I just did my application and I hope I can get accepted I am just scared paying for it since you mentioned it is expensive and financial aid is NOT going to pay anything :(

I'm discouraged. I just started prereqs at the local college. I don't have much time left to pursue this. if it's that hard to just get accepted in the program, even with good grades and multiple degrees, then there is little hope for a 66 year old with no degrees, a hearing disability and weak in math. thoughts?

You mentioned that you owed a previous university and you weren’t able to get your official transcript and you just gave them what you had. Was it an unofficial transcript? I’m having an issue with that also and I have an associate degree in general studies but I’m currently working at a hospital and I Love the healthcare field! I just wanted to know did you submit an unofficial transcript from your previous college? Also, how long did it take for you to get accepted into Galen University?

Hi and Thank you. So for Galen, I just gave them the three transcripts that I had access to and they were all official transcripts. The other schools I applied to wanted all of your official transcripts from every school youve ever attended which is what I couldn't provide because of the money owed. Thankfully for Galen, they only asked for the transcripts that YOU wanted to be considered. And it took like maybe 2-3 weeks. It was a very quick process to get accepted because I immediately submitted everything when I did the application.

Chamberlain was to expensive for me it was like 97k for the nursing program. Just ridiculous so high pricey for me. I'm trying to enroll and start Galen in July 2024

Congratulations. God bless you in your journey. Please join a nursing association. It is good for support and scholarships. Black nurses association is good, so are your state nusing organizations. They are usually cheaper for students. Good luck.

I took my classes at Delaware Technically community college and I got accepted I into nursing school Yes that is right you ready right. I did my other classes already like my prerequisite classes.
