Plugging in a custom 24 prs into a dual rectifier in those early 2000s was my dream gear. Have a triple rec but no prs yet!

Great review! I subbed! I just played around on this exact same bass at a pawn shop...probably gonna go back & buy it! The nut is cool. Makes stringing her up with a .130 B, .105 E, .85 A and .65 D a breeze! I've always loved Warwick. Thumbs and Streamers, especially. Well, hell yeah! Dig it!
@SeanPierceJohnson4 жыл бұрын
Mike Oglesby thanks Mike! Yeah, Warwick has always been a bass I’ve held in high regard. Streamers are cool as well, almost went for one of those. I do enjoy the height-adjustable nut! Makes me wonder why more companies haven’t tried that. You’ll be seeing more of this bass soon 👍 thanks for subbing!

Super nice! I have heard Warwick and Framus make great instruments. Awsome choice!
@SeanPierceJohnson5 жыл бұрын
J Steen there’s definitely some truth to that statement. All the Framus and Warwick instruments I’ve played have been AMAZING! And the last tonight instruments have been made in the companies Chinese-made lines.

Awesome review, you certainly got some great tones and really liked how you demonstrated different styles. Is this the Corvette Classic? I've just started looking at a new bass and think this is the same as the one I briefly played today.
@SeanPierceJohnson3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I'm not even a bassist by trade so I was worried I'd screw this one up. To your question: yes, I do believe this is the Corvette Classic.
@AdamAarts2 жыл бұрын
Welcome to the Warwick Club! Hopefully you can get a chance to play a German model, or even a Pro series or whatever they’re called now. The wenge/ovangkol necks are another level of beauty and tone. It’s hard to describe why Warwick is my go to tone wise, they just have so much more balls than other basses. Honestly any other bass I try sounds and feels like a toy compared to my Warwicks.

Hahaha, I just saw this video was from 3 years ago. KZbin put it in my feed this morning.

hahaha! yeah. thanks KZbin. it's still welcome though. i just saw Alice in Chains last week and Mike Inez (and his Warwick heavy bass lineup) had one of the best live bass tones i've heard. the semihollow Star bass is my latest GAS fixation
@shirleykubicz36782 жыл бұрын
Can you please tell me how you got the Gallup grind sound? Thank you
@SeanPierceJohnson2 жыл бұрын
thanks Shirly. It was all about balancing the pickups perfectly and adding quite a lot of highs from the 2-band EQ on the bass. Took of some lows but not so much that i lost punch. every sound in the video was from the bass.

What’s the exact model? Warwick RB Corvette B 4 BK Short Scale?

It’s not a short scale. I believe it’s just called the Corvette Basic 4. That’s all I could find for a model name when I did the video originally
