It’s really unfortunate bc I’ve played many shooters at a high elo since i was like 12 and even back then I learnt to just mute and only speak on super important call-outs. I don’t play competitive modes anymore bc I’ve been worn down ngl, it’s much more fun to queue qp nowadays with friends that’ll stick up for me if there’s any weirdos. Even though it’s uncomfortable for me, as soon as someone opens their mouth to be weird to myself or any of my female friends it’s an instant self report on the kind of sad, easily resent-able or insecure person they are irl; plus confronting them can be funny when u just kind of ignore em then be brutally honest in a very relaxed way hehe
