Completely out of left field seeing you cover one of my old arrangements lol, thank you so much for the 美しい performance. LOVE the extra touches of rubato as well as the original tag at the end, reminiscent of a sad farewell.

:O I didn’t think this would be noticed by you since my channel is so small I’m glad to see you here though =D it’s a great arrangement that’ll never get old I was concerned you wouldn’t like the but at the end but glad you liked it!

@@CharlesMaPiano how can i be good at piano like you?
@CharlesMaPiano Жыл бұрын
@@nightsky2688 If you can get piano lessons, that would be a good start. Otherwise, watching how others play and using KZbin tutorials can be an alternative. I spend a fair amount of time analysing how other people play piano and what techniques they use so I can apply it to my own playing :)

First off, I just want to say beautiful playing. I watched Horimiya a long time ago, and I still reread the the volumes on my shelf every now and then. Just like you, it’s a story I relate to very personally because I’ve just never been one to fit in and I’d always put on a mask whenever at school, although, I’m still in School so I guess still haven’t had my complete reflection haha. I haven’t watched anything piano related recently just because my motivation to play has been non-existent, because of some criticism I received a little while back in March. I started playing around 2 years ago and people have always called me a prodigy but I never felt that of myself, so I’ve always tried to live up to their standards of me. So when someone actually gave me criticism it just hit me right in the gut. But when I watched this video, and even while writing this comment, I’m crying just a bit. I think now “I finally know” that I don’t need to live up to people’s expectations of me, and just play for myself. I think this video gave me what I haven’t gotten from Animenz or TheIshter at all recently, that pure feeling of nostalgia where you can just immerse yourself in the music. You don’t need to have a million subscribers, you just have such subtle beauty in your playing that I don’t think just anyone can have. You’re amazing and don’t ever stop doing this please. Also this comment was probably all over the place hahaha.

Thank you for the comment, I really enjoyed reading it =) When I had just finished my music exams, I also felt a bit lost since I'm used to playing for others but now I don't really care and just play how I want - within reason of course. I think it's important not to take criticism personally, I'm also scared of it but if you can turn it into something positive by seeing it as a way to improve. Since music is subjective, it's up to you whether you want to take on the criticism or not - if it's unreasonable then just toss it out haha. It's interesting to see lots of people describe my style as "gentle" since I've never thought I had a style to begin with.

Wow sounds absolutely gorgeous! Just like the visuals in here are just breathtaking! Beautiful lighting and sick looking blazer. Now I'm looking forward to OP and ED from you for this one :D (small shameless self-promo, I covered the ED myself back then and am still really proud of how it came out)
@CharlesMaPiano2 жыл бұрын
Oooh, that's cool that you covered the ED - I haven't seen many people that have made arrangements or even performed it on piano yet. It's mostly just been the OP which is also really good but the ED has its charm as well =) I'll definitely check yours out too ;D
