I'm f2p and if also taking into account spending frags, I trained both KLaw and Nika up to 100 within half a year. The only measurement is that you can't spend your frags on any other character tho. But without frags probably yeah, it would take me about a year.

If you use special training right (wt cheer) and don't let the time run out, you can get 6 frags per day. 6 shards per day results in 180 per month 180 special training frags + 100 league battle (SS) frags + 80/100 challenge mode frags (some last less than 1 week) = 360/380 frags per month. So, you can max a character from 60 to 100 in at least 3 months and 2 weeks. Hyper boost takes 5 months and 2 weeks after that tho.
