Yeah and it’s like impossible for it to actually run out, but if you don’t defeat any enemies and just fuck around, the flames will decrease almost all the way to the bottom. Since monolith made it a whole mechanic, people thought that if you let it run out that it’d be a game over, but it doesn’t actually do anything if it runs out. Kinda weird lol

Something I love is the flame clock clearly repressing characters sexual emotions as we can see with the public bath scene with everyone treating their nakedness completely normal. But once they are free by becoming ouroboros they become aware of their bodies hence why the guys all run off to change away from the girls. It mirrors adam and eve after they ate the apple and became aware of their nudeness and differences in their bodies. Which there is also an extremely subtle adam and eve and the forbidden fruit with a snake reference later in the game with a tree with special fruit and a snake enemy just to the side of it albeit it doesnt hold any lore reason just a subtle easter egg

That's certainly a way to set the mood, huh? - Not sure if you've figured it out by now, but Lanz - and other Kevesi like him - is a Machina. All the Kevesi are Bionis/Mechonis races. - 23:30 {evil chuckle} _Too bad._ - Sorry, it's not the Colony 9 you were thinking of. BTW, all the Kevesi Colonies are labeled with numbers. What are the Agnian Colonies labeled with, then? Well, they use Greek letters. (I'm not sure if we ever reach a Colony Alpha or Beta, sorry.) - Here's some general terms for this world. *Ferronises* are the giant robots that serve as the centers of Colonies, with *Flame Clocks* that collect claimed life and keep its connected soldiers alive. *Levnises* are the small- to mid-sized robots that are out on the field. *Irises* are the systems within all Kevesis' and Agnians' eyes, serving as radars, communicators, and databases - they're also how the soldiers deploy their *Blades* (general term for their weapons). Oh, um...Kevesi Irises are always in the right eye, and Agnian Irises are in the left. - Riku is undoubtedly popular guypon. - Nope, she's not Nia. But her name is still a cat pun. - Interesting thing to note is that all Agnians have Core Crystals in their bodies, making them much stronger than normal. They're all essentially either Alrest Blades (if they have the ether veins and elements like fire hair) or Blade Eaters. Kevesi have to equip small blue-glowing devices called power frames to match their superhuman strength. - If you're familiar with Xenogears, you may notice a lot of similar elements here in XC3 - especially how Noah and his Interlink form look a lot like Fei and Weltall. - ...Oh! And of course Manana just shows up out of nowhere (after Noah and Mio Interlink). - No matter how many death flags surrounded Mwamba and Guernica, the game still found ways to make their deaths hit hard. - Hope you weren't too attached to the hard limitations of the Flame Clock system, because that's gone now~! - The part where their fellow soldiers were manipulated by that red light almost felt like a horror moment, if you ask me.

First time writing here but I've seen all your videos up to now. Such a joy to witness your geniune reactions to my favourite game series. 1 was my favourite game since I was 17 years old when it came out in 2011 and I thought no game could reach me like that again. Then 2 came, I loved it with all my heart, but I guess 1 still had an special place in my heart. Now, fastforward to 2022 and even though I love each game from the bottom of my soul, I wasn't prepared to discover my new favourite game ever after all these years. @@skyeifer honestly I’m 12 about to be 13 after 10 I became absolutely obsessed with certain pairings looking at the storyline I now realize would be like the best movie in the universe and there’s so much to explore and fight it’s amazing,beautiful,and a very emotional story that I will defend with all my heart if it comes to it hands down the best game and one of the best storylines I’ve ever seen if you haven’t I recommend watching Horimiya and Princess Mononoke and I’m guilty of seeing anime games or anime’s and looking for fanfics and fanart on the internet ships are worth your time and I get that they don’t always see the chemistry immediately but I did think it was pretty obvious even at first they way they look at each other but yes and my main ships are Xiaolumi from Genshin Impact Danstelle from Honkai Star Rail and Jeanluc also from Genshin Impact very passionately and now the best canon ship I think I’ve ever seen Noah x Mio🥺

Depression cronicles contiues , and once again it makes sure to live up to its name. For me the party of this game Is the best in fact of writing and interaction between each other and story plot points, in the others you often have party members that arent really relevant outside certain part of the story , with this you can see how monolith really improved between games. Noah having a pony tail its not only for making him the prettier protagonist but its also a reference to fei (xenogears protagonist) , he too have a ponytail , longer than Noah lol. Another reference is in Noah's name , xenogears was named project Noah in development, its cool that they omage that game like this (xenogears is a masterpiece , i recommend playing It if you want more xeno in the future, maybe after the dlc if you are missing the depression of this series in your life lmao) Also maybe you have alredy realized of someone else mentioned , but lanz Is a machina , the same race as Egil from xeno1 (in that game they always wear a strange armor /clothes so you cant really see the hair or the details of the skin , but Is the same as lanz , plus the machinas babies npcs have visible white/silver hair)
