I think that Jax just doesn’t think the others are real. His attitude reminds me of Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Regular, normal people started torturing the Koroks, creating elaborate machines to catapult, cricify, and roast the harmless little npcs. I am pretty sure everyone at the very least dropped rocks on their heads. Jax just thinks that everyone else is an npc.

that makes sense my theory was that his coping mechanism with being stuck in the circus was that he just doesn't care for others because ,to him it doesn't matter. once he got over being stuck and never seeing his family or friends again he started to think the circus was a better existence because he can do whatever he wants and despite other people suffering and the people he makes suffer, its one of those where he can actually have fun and truly be himself without consequences. gooseworx said he was a troubled person in his personal life so my theory stems off that hint that he prefers the circus now that no one or no thing can stop him from dealing with his real life trauma

Silky idea, what if abstractions are not what we think they are. What if the outside world some how pulled them out. Abstraction form wothout the person trapped within digital circus. Possible thought

not a bad thought and i can see that being possible my theory is that there is no escape from the circus and every character stuck in it is actually a copy of the persons brain/memories and personality that got digitalized. abstraction is when they realize they are just copies/clones of their real selves but feel real and get true self awareness that their coding deletes itself and their avatar becomes the abstraction with small tidbits of their memory left intact

he's only bad because he's literally trapped in a circus- no way out- literally digital and can't remember anything of his past life. same for the others but different personalities. making others mad is his way of coping, and again, you can't die in there. so that and that, i don't blame him, it's just an endless loop.

The adventure seemingly reflecting what kinger had gone through with his wife might further hint that caine is nearly omniscient. As he knew it'd be Kinger and Pomni being dragged through that particular instance. Its likely that Caine knows Pomni needs to be broken in so she may fully settle down into the Circus.
