Thank you! It's my first review of this kind, I hope you got good info out of it. I love finally having wireless AA! I do imagine it's a much cheaper solution than factory fit and it works in any car with Apple Carplay, so it leaves a lot of options open. Plus it's so simple 🙌

Great video and a handy device for sure! My own situation is the Polestar does not have wireless CarPlay for my iPhone but the inbuilt Google operating is so good, I’m not fussed at all. It’s very nice having all the maps and apps such as KZbin and KZbin music. I still need to download the Vivaldi browser because that is better for watching KZbin than the app itself apparently. I do have the Fireplace app for when I go camping - lol

Has the Fireplace app been upgraded to keep you warm yet? 😅 that's very funny. Yea, I don't blame you, I very much enjoyed the built-in system in the Polestar as well, don't think I'd need an upgrade there either. This gadget is great for those of us who haven't been able to get a beautiful Polestar just yet. Does Twiggy go with you when you go camping?

@@siasek sorry, sometimes I need to pinch myself to realise I’m somehow living the dream. Twig and I are about to head off in a couple of weeks driving across the country on our first epic EV road trip and will spend our first nights in the car. We are having another very hot summer, so maybe I need to get an icy waterfall app with the soothing sounds of cool water flowing instead of a crackling fire!

Thanks for the review. Can you explain how you connected to KZbin? I tried to connect to my phone via Bluetooth but It keeps saying no internet connection. It worked well with wifi connection though.

Hello, sorry about the long response time.. I put together these instructions, hopefully that'll help: On the Android interface, open the "Settings" app. Open Wi-Fi Settings: In the settings menu, select "Wi-Fi." Turn on Wi-Fi: Toggle the Wi-Fi switch to enable it, if it is not already on. Scan for Networks: Wait for the Android box to scan for available Wi-Fi networks. Select Your Wi-Fi Network: Choose the desired Wi-Fi network from the list. Enter Wi-Fi Password: Input the password for the selected network and tap "Connect." Confirm Connection: Ensure the Android box shows a successful connection to the Wi-Fi network. This should connect your Android box to the internet, allowing you to use Android Auto via Apple CarPlay.

If the changan cs55 has wired Apple Carplay, then this box will make wireless Android Auto work for you. (It actually simulates wireless Android Auto via wired Apple Carplay) In the car it pretends to be Apple Carplay, but on the infotainment screen it displays Android Auto. 🙂

Do you nees a wireless hotspot for your apps to work? My apps say they cant connect to internet when i open them

Hi, as far as I know it does support Carplay. But I actually don't have it anymore, I got a different one. Make of that what you will.

@@AmonyeToles Hi, I have currently replaced my car and already have Android Auto/ Caplay wireless built in. I have to honestly say it works much better than the extra boxes. It's fast and hassle free.

Nice video. You answered my question on how to get Android Auto to display. It defaults to Apple Car Play and I am Android everything. It still works as CarPlay, but the Play Store is not readily visible. I have to go into settings and then view apps. There I was able to sign in and download Google Maps as that was not preinstalled. The trouble I am having is viewing multiple screens as is possible with Android Auto. (I will try the trick of setting up speedplay in the morning.) Can you view multiple screens at once, for example, maps and your music that is playing at the same time?

Interesting! It worked normally for me I guess, but it had to be the current version of the Android auto app. I was using the Speedplay app to display on the infotainment

@@siasek so, I figured that out, trouble is my phone has to wifi to the AI box for that to work. At this point, I don't see Netflix and KZbin. So, I am ok with that. I'll just use the Car Play and my phone as a hot spot.
