I've seen vloggers switch over to this and it leveled up their video quality and sound. If you're new to vlogging or starting a talking head channel, I would purchase one of these. Really suprised by how much you get out of this tiny setup.

Thanks for going over how the gimble with lens turns from selfie mode to forward facing. I've watched lots of videos trying to figure it out and was thinking I needed to turn the entire camera. Looks like a great vlogging camera, especially since you made the point about people not noticing it as much as a phone or other video system. 4K 120 in 10 bit, such a small package, wow.

2:28 Nice to see you discover the Pocket 3, the results speak for themselves, now available with MicMini. For video Pocket 3 is awesome, but for photography, the A7CR A7CII are the same size as your A6700 and full frame, thank you for placing them side by side, looks like 2x the volume for 4x the sensor size, this makes the A7CR compact my ideal WISH I HAD camera, but woah 5x the price. The DJI really is an astounding Package for the size and price. BTW You can use your Apple Watch as a controller/viewfinder! Every camera a tool, each with benefits and tradeoffs. Great videos, happy holidays.

I’m primarily a hobby stills photographer but a few years back bought version 1. Use it occasionally and quite happy except don’t like the internal battery as had to send it back when it failed and out of warranty, though got mind done free due to the 6 year EU & UK 6 year “not fit for the purpose” warranty. Your version is a lot better big screen and separate battery. Would be nice to upgrade but don’t video a lot. Wonder what DJI got for V4? Thanks for sharing.

I bought mine when it first came out and my main complaint is that its FOV is often too wide (a typical fault of action cameras). And the built-in zoom is digital and not available in all modes. Some kind of clip-on lens adaptor to bring the FOV down to 40 or 50mm FF equivalent would make it almost universally useful for me.
@gedreeves96923 күн бұрын
Ulanzi make a 3 pack that has a 2x converter on it making it 40mm. I believe it's coming out very soon
@izzatIHH553 күн бұрын
Yea, a lot of people complain about the fov. I think we can expect a pocket pro version where it has more than one lens, coming out in the next iteration 🤔
@sbeckmesser3 күн бұрын
@@gedreeves9692 While this is a helpful development, Ulanzi's website cites a 40-DEGREE field of view, not a 40-MILLIMETER free-frame equivalent FOV (which I calculate to be around 57 degrees, diagonally). But the product is called a 2X teleconverter, which would indeed be the optical equivalent of the Pocket 3's maximum digital zoom (converting its native optical 20mm to 40mm FOV). A 40-DEGREE FOV calculates to around a 60mm FF focal length. There's obviously a discrepancy here that Ulanzi needs to straighten out. Without actually trying it out, a 60MM FOV may be too tight for the close-to-stage performance footage I'd like to capture. Any moving performer would often move out of frame.

Hi Arthur. Which lens would you recommend to VLOG from Sony ZV-E10? I am interested on these lenses: Samyang af 12mm f/2.0 or Sony 10-18mm f4?
@ArthurR3 күн бұрын
Id probably say the Sony is better for vlogging because it gives you a little bit of zoom. The best ultrawide option is the newer Sigma 10-20 F2.8.

Did you use DLOG-M for your shots? There is a noticeable increase in image quality when using DLOG and then applying the DJI LUT.
@ArthurR3 күн бұрын
Just a few shots - maybe 15% of them. There is a bump in quality for sure, but for casual vlogging the normal color mode is fine.
@_sk_videos3 күн бұрын
@ IMO it goes from action cam quality to closer to a mirrorless. You’d be better off using your phone over the normal color profile. The dji app is really good, you can shoot in log with lut preview then download with the lut applied. No reason not to use the dlogm.

About 90% in the "normal" profile with no color grade. I did take a few D-Log clips at the end and threw a lut on them, but i think it the "Normal 10-bit" color looks great out of camera.

@ That might work but to have it as a mode for in car, or on a slider
@JakeAlexander.Күн бұрын
from my understanding, on the pocket 3 there is an fpv lock mode and an additional gimbal speed setting. If set to fpv lock mode with gimbal speed set to fast, the lens will remain perpendicular to the lcd viewing screen regardless of rotation and will function more like a fixed non-stabilized lens. I wonder if this would let you do handheld tricks more easily. I don’t have a pocket 3 so i can’t confirm but i’m getting one soon and will test this.

DJI should have made removable battery in it. It's a big enough gadget to have battery to be not integrated. BTW, some other respectable YT channels already started refusing to review gear with integrated batteries unless it's too tiny to be removable. There is even an in-ear headphones with removable batteries on the market. So, there is no excuse to sell gadgets that become obsolete fast and create e-waste due to just a one cheap component that degrades fast.
@ArthurR3 күн бұрын
I agree, I wish every new piece of gear (including phones) had removable batteries. But nowadays 98% of stuff has integrated batteries it seems, planned obsolescence.

If any person has trouble with a camera in public that is their problem. Outdoors it is that there is no expectation of privacy. People who have problems will have to suck it up buttercups. Going into a restaurant is I know a different story. Outdoors people will have to kiss off, it's just that simple.
