Untie the Knot is one of my favorite products ever. I really love TréLuxe! BUT like you said, I got flakes from the gel too. I never was able to master that so I don’t use it. But my hair loves everything else from them.

I have fine hair with medium density and have not had any issues with the Hi Definition flaking for me. I have used this brand mostly in the colder winter months. I would use the 4-1 Hydrating Creme under the gel and refresh with the Reflex Serum. Recently I tried a split style test using the serum and gel on one side and the creme and gel on the other side. The serum side had more shrinkage, but both side felt amazing and had good curl.

I literally couldn't wait for your review of this line. Treluxe is one of my favorite lines because it brings such definition and moisture to my curls. I have used and loved every single product in the line. I was anxiously awaiting your review because I'm always interested in your insight on lines. You have a wonderful way of describing and detailing your view of each and every line. I absolutely love your reviews and this one definitely didn't disappoint. With regards to the gel I've had success with it. The key is less is more and most importantly lots of water just before you apply it to your strands. I saw that tip from the creator in an IG live and it truly works. No flakes and beautiful definition. Hope this helps. I'm a fan of your videos. Keep being the awesome person you are! Your curl definition was great but I know about those flakes! My hair does not respond well to coconut oil, so I will pass on this line. Great review!

I LOOOOVE Treluxe. I don't know how their products work on so many hair types. I like using Reflex and hi definition in the Spring/ summer and the hydrating cream with either Reflex or the gel when it's colder. Bomb results every time!

I tried their gel once several years ago. I couldn't deal with the smell. I do want to try their leave-in when I diminish my stash. I keep hearing so many good things about it and cinnamon is one of my favorite scents.

Thank you girl for the review, I have been waiting lol. I’ll def be checking out this brand. I’ve been super interested for a while!! I’m most excited for the shampoo as I don’t have many of really any moisturizing shampoos. I’d like one in my arsenal. It’s a shame about the gel/custard. I think if it flaked for you, it probably will flake for me giving that my strands are mostly low porosity. The product may just sit on top and flake. Thanks again girl!!

Hi, very nice review of all the products. I used the leave-in and the the gel then wait for about 15 minutes to set and I diffused. All I know I was snowing 😅. I need to know how to prevent that ASAP cause I like how my hair looked minus the snow. 👍🏾

I’ve seen too many ppl complain about the flakes from that gel 😭😭 like what is it?? But I still liked how your wash and go turned out! I feel like we have similar densities and I heard you mention kinky curly custard.. do you have a video on it because I can’t seem to get to work for my hair 🥲

It’s probably the xanthan gum in the formula. It’s a bomb holding agent but notorious for residue and flaking. I don’t have any specific vids on KCCC. It’s a pretty polarizing product.

Try the reverse wash n go and see if that work without flaking gel first then the leave in conditioner mybe it might help not sure but give it try I hope it works
