2:06 its a me!!! yipeee edit: i finally finished the video, honestly when i saw the reply on the original video about fixing the issue, i did not expect polar coordinates (my biggest OP). what i expected was something a bit more precise, namely, strings, using strings to control where the mouse moves on a desk you can more easily manipulate a mouse with more precision. (yes, there is a such thing as Lego string, or even lego chain, so you can actually make a proper pulley system with it) but great video overall, engineering is fun 9/10 can't wait for what you do next :)

Great video and a pretty cool project! I have been watching your channel for quite a while now and the stuff you make is always really interesting. For improvements to the mouse mechanism I think it may be helpful if you were to double up on the tracks (to make one wider track) as this would provide a more stable platform for the mouse. You could also try and buy one of the large soft mousepads (like a steelseries qck xxl as an example) which you would be able to cut into a single large section wide enough to cover the outside of the tracks and attach the loose ends to create a belt of mousepad. This would probably help with finer movements of the mouse since with the current setup the ridges and gaps in the track might leave spaces that are too far away for the laser sensor to pick up and probably knock the mouse around a fair bit. Final suggestion is that you might be able to use one of those trackball mice to allow for better recognition of rotation of the mouse.
