Tea creates a sepia pink tone. Coffee is more brown so will give a more cream tone rather than a blush tone which you get from tea.
@LadyRebeccaFashions Жыл бұрын
Oh interesting! I've never thought about dyeing with coffee.

The process of trying to figure out what dye vs tea dye was really interesting. For the finished outfit I just adored how the hat looks and the pin tucks at the bottom of the dress with the peep of pantalettes! I've always really liked Kirsten since growing up my parents always talked about how our grandparents were Swedish. I feel like she could have been one of my ancestors.

Such a lovely dress! The tan and tea dye really worked. I love how you managed to get all the stripes lined up, something I'm not so good at.

The shoes came out great. Personally I would have coated the entire pair of shoes with modge podge matte....as a safe buffer. That way whatever chemical is in that particular paint that's causing the shoes to fall apart is blocked... There will still be functional as a paint. Leather paint sometimes contain petroleum distillates which can dissolve plastics or synthetics which are commonly found in non leather shoes.

The shows worked well enough to get the point across! It could have also been the fact they aren't leather. Love how the dress turned out. Looks like everyone had a good time. Love the background too. Makes me miss British Columbia

It's a shame e about the painting the boots, but they at least looked red long enough to get some cute pictures. You all look really cute in your cosplays. If I ever get a chance to visit Seattle, I'm definitely going to want to check in to see if you're doing something cool. You always look to behaving so much fun at your events.

These AG cosplays you make are so cute and fun. I didn't really know anything about AG before i found your channel - only that they were a type of doll. But i like listening to people talk about things that they love and so have learned some things about AG through you! These types of videos that you make are such a pleasure to watch - your enthusiasm is contagious! ❤

p.s. the regency gown at the end is sooo pretty!!! I haven't been to a regency ball since i was in college but oh man I have so many great memories of dressing up and doing the country dances as the dance master yelled out instructions over the musicians.

I like a lot your new dress... and the light green of your fabric. Maybe for the next dress you should choose princess line for cutting the bodice, in order to get rid of the wrinkles over and under the bust. That or make it a little looser, I guess. Happy summer sewing Lady Rebecca!

I was watching Peggy Sager's of Silhouette Patterns. She said that if you have gaping at the arm holes you need to go to a larger cup size. She sells patterns that come in different cup sizes but perhaps a full bust adjustment would do it.

Maybe mix the tea and tan together... instant antiqued. Tea can vary from wash to wash....tan is permanent but lack the depth of the tea...so together.... could be an option.

Girl, have you never put your camera in a baggie? I measured the lens hole and drew it on the bottom of the baggie, cut it out slightly small and shoved my lens through. Everything else worked fine, though I did unzip the bag to check for blurriness in the pics.
