World was my first true monster hunter experience. I started with bow then slowly worked my way through the other weapons. Hunting horn was my last weapon i tried. Just the concept was silly to me. Fighting a monster with bagpipes!? Ridiculous. To me hh seemed like a bards/healer role and im mostly a solo player. But i was wrong, hunting horn hits different. Ive never found as much joy and satisfaction in using a weapon in ANY game as i do hunting horn. Having a jam session while the monster is knocked out on the ground to pulling off a grifted on a charging tigrex feels so good. It's my most favorite weapon that I've ever played. Im enjoying your 100hr hunting horn journey, im not finished watching the whole series yet, but seeing your experiences and evolution with hunting horn in real-time is a real treat.😊 👍

World was also my 1st experience, and then I played other off-brand hunter games like Dauntless and Wildhearts and realized how good MH would be if it just didn't have the sharpness system. I did play MH:Rise as well and that's how I got into swaxe, but nothing beats a burst fire Light Bowgun (cuz f**k the singlefire ones like Defender's and Great Jagras') and abusing the wyvernblast's potential. I've been playing World again and have been into Hammer oddly enough

Sorry I’m new to the game, how do you do the spin attack at 5:07?
@GiddyFoxGamingАй бұрын
It's an Iceborne attack! If you don't have the DLC you can't perform it. If you do, it's the same button as aiming your slinger but only after any other attack
@karineSoАй бұрын
@ oh that makes sense as I haven’t purchased the dlc yet but definitely will get it soon as this game is so much fun! thank you so much for answering so quickly and your video genuinely was so much fun to watch, you sounding like you are having so much fun with this weapon is the reason why I chose it ^^
@GiddyFoxGamingАй бұрын
So glad you enjoyed! It's such a fun challenge and I'm excited to see if I can complete every weapon before Wilds releases 💪 Also, if you're replaying on PC, consider picking up Iceborne from my Nexus shop! No pressure or anything, just like to let people know it exists 😉 Nexus.gg/GiddyFox

doesn't raging brachy and normal have special horn breaks as well as yian garuga having those head fans and beak too?
@GiddyFoxGamingАй бұрын
There's a lot of monsters that have head breaks, we went for the ones that were really obvious. With the sad miss of Shara Ishvalda cuz we just forgot haha

I really need to learn traditional Hunting Horn.. by the sounds of it the Rise style will not be returning in Wilds. I know the basic moveset and combos but it's the actual music playing and "what makes a good song set" part that's screwing me up
@GiddyFoxGaming5 ай бұрын
One note at a time! And you never have to do things a certain way all the time. Play the notes to the song whether you hit the monster or not, then buff, then beat the crap out of the monsters head lol
