I hadn't thought of string tension as a tool, but use what you got!! Good job - I hope it holds!

Thank you, yeah, we'll definitely have to see how it does over time, but I put a lot of force on it and there wasn't even a noise. I imagine if it took a hard hit or bad fall it might re-break, but an event like that would probably break it anyways, even if it wasn't repaired already, since as far as I can see, there is no joint anywhere near the headstock, only at the base of the neck.

Really cool. Brother! So glad you got it all worked out - with a partial refund, and then a cheap repair! Really good stuff! It always feels good when you can put a part of yourself into a guitar. A personal connection with the instrument. And this baby sounds nice! I dig it. Love your riffage in the vid, as well. Rock on, Bro - and keep the good stuff coming!

Much appreciated! Yeah, I always find that the more I work on a guitar, the more I end up playing it and thus a greater chance I write/record with it. In fact, I already have something in the works, so there's definitely some songs to pull out of this one. Glad I decided to keep it and save it from possibly getting trashed.
