This was my dream car at one point, back when I first started working my boss bought one, pops and I had to pull the rear end and line up the frame, getting that top to work right was a nightmare. After that i no longer dreamed of them 😂

I CANT IMAGINE trying to line line up the rear end on this car… WAY too many moving parts/ hydraulics/vacuum lines. Sure sounds like a nightmare
@23RD Жыл бұрын
@@Haydenschreiermk2 sure is a nightmare, one tiny little bump or something as it’s closing and it just resets 😂

I had exactly the same problem about 10 yrs. ago. I simply cut a small metal plate about 1.5mm thick and put it underneath the teeth block, which basically raised the teeth up to fit more snugly in the gear cog. It worked perfectly and still does. That cost me approx. zero.

Mine says partition isnt closed but it is an the top wont open ? Any ideas
@Haydenschreiermk2 Жыл бұрын
yes more than likely the "soft close" feature on your car is broken and the trunk doesnt think it is closed when it is. people slam it to close it and then it works, which typically breaks the parts that you saw me replace. otherwise theres a possibility that the partition needs to be opened and closed and made sure its fully seated, you can also check if it is getting a signal
@HaydenSchreier Thanks Hayden! both of mine are hanging real loose so hopefully that's the problem. I just finished putting coilovers on it to get rid of that ABC system
@Haydenschreiermk24 ай бұрын
if you have the orginal factory ones then yes its most likely the problem as i believe they were made of plastic and these are now metal. check and see what you have on. if they are metal than you might just need to reset the teeth in it and tighten it
