Hope so just saw a great video where they did one mod at a time and dynoed after each. The throttle bodies (87mm) only added 3 peak hp and 2 ft pounds of torque and they were the 2nd mod after the eventuri which showed solid improvements.

I installed throttle bodies and the eventuri against my better judgment. My gut told me gm didn't leave much on the table and I was correct. 60-130 draggy time stock. 7.58. 57 degrees DA 421ft. Draggy 60-130 time with eventuri and tbrottle bodies 7.55. Temp 56 degrees DA 377ft. Test was done same day same weather. The eventuri intake also has a irritating buzz at times from the carbon fiber resonating. Biggest waist of money I've ever spent on performance parts. Also the power curve isn't as smooth with the eventuri and they struggled with these dips in the power curve, call them if you don't believe me. Sure dyno shows more power, ok why isn't my car faster lol.

Keep in mind if you have any engine warranty issues and this air box and throttle bodies are on your 30k engine gm has every right to deny warranty claims. They can also look at mass air flow data on a freeze frame history in the scanner and see how much air the engine was taking in. They know the maximum amount of air that is possible on the engine in stock form.

The throttle body functions within the airflow that the Computer fully allows as we do not throw codes. The punchline is GM left 20% additional airflow that we maximized. You are correct. Many dealers can and will deny warranty as these are aftermarket parts. I like the idea, would go for them if -and only if- I had a very amicable relationship with my local GM service department.

In my opinion, KZbinrs who can afford a C8 Z06 shouldn't need any sponsorship because they can afford it. If Z06 owners need sponsorship then they simply cannot afford it. We are talking about a $120K-$150K car. Most of these C8 Z06 owners are middle to upper middle class income ($150K-300K annual). A few thousands part cost should be pocket change for them.

@jinzukinoha7424 I think its a common misconception between @brooks22n and your viewpoint when it comes to sponsorships and forming an opinion around a product a person endorses. Firstly us KZbinrs getting parts for "free" is a common misunderstanding. Its a form of transaction where a sponsor gives a product to a reviewer in exchange for their oppinion and video review which takes a considerable amount of time and effort to put together. In almost every case, its hours upon hours of work on the back end between video editing, thumbnail creations, installs, reinstalls, the works. Each minute of my videos takes on avg about 1 to 2 hours on the back end thats not seen to create. So this 20ish minute video took about 35 manhours to complete between everything involved. Thats a considerable time investment in exchange for a product via sponsorship thats honestly worth it on both ends. And regarding @brooks22n point, my channel focuses on products I WOULD recommend and not just everything under the sun. But i have a genuine passion for my Channel and creation and would honestly like to do that full time instead of my normal day job as an Aerospace Engineer. But it takes YEARS and countless countless manhours to get to that kind of level. And an absolutely vital part of making KZbin a full time career is gaining the network of great sponsors that back you. Look at any huge channel like Tavarish or Throttle House and they have numerous huge sponsors that help them make it work. And thats my goal, is to make this channel just as good and make it my full time passion. I cant say it directly for all other KZbinrs but for me this is the case. Hey thanks for commenting and your question! If its a C8 stingray, id go with the 103mm. Still doesnt require a tune and itll enhance anything you combine it with like a cold air intake or exhaust. No check engine light so long as the proper reset procedure is performed after install. Ill be having a full detailed how to video for the Z06 which alot of it including the reset protocal applies. I agree that this testimonial is not backed up with objective dyno confirmation, but it makes sense that ported intakes will reduce turbulence and the enhanced airflow will bump power. A low restriction air filter is good for 16-18 HP gains on the dyno, so why wouldn’t this add to HP as well? Seat of the pants gains aren’t necessarily worthless and Carlo is an engineer, so for now I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Id recommend the 103mm version as itll allow you for maximum airflow gain and should you decide to do a tune or even aftermarket intake and/or exhaust, it will only increase the airflow efficiency. The refurbish should be just as good as the new and have not heard any challenges/issues from customers otherwise and saves you some money. That would be the way to go as my recommendation! GM does not design TB’s they purchase from Delco. The same cast and design on the C7 is also on the C8 Stingray not to mention Sierra trucks from years back. All are interchangeable with no new tune required. Get the picture…
