I worked at this store for a number of years. The location used to be the first Fred Meyer in town. There's a staircase back behind the allotted space for the store that let's you get up in the old break room on the second floor where you can overlook the whole deal which is cool. There are a number of stores in the state but the Fairbanks one is the furthest north. In terms of the store setup, it was always a matter of space and having none. Yeah, it is always super dark in that building.
