Greetings from San Francisco. Last week Friday, I flew Alaska, Boeing 737-900ER from Honolulu to San Francisco for the 1st time, flight is nearly full, good and okay, 4 and a half hours, they give snack and free water, which is good, I slept 1 and a half hours, it's good and okay, I am surprised they skip row 5 and they have 4 lavatories, 1 at the front and 3 at the back, this time it's before the back galley, it's small and tight, including the sink), it's unexpected. For the 1st time, they assign 5E, which is premium economy/premium plus for free because it's nearly a full flight, wow behind business class, the seat and legroom is good and okay, but unfortunately the seat width is too narrow at less than 17 inches because I don't have enough shoulder room to share with my seatmate and I feel quite cramped and uncomfortable, but I am okay an the worst part is they don't open the window shade for takeoff and landing on afternoon and even evening flight if I don't have a window seat and it's so annoying, even though the cabin tell the passenger to open the window shade, but the passenger didn't (only on US flight, that's weird.). I rent a car to explore the city of San Francisco for my 2nd time, it's awesome, including driving to Chinatown to eat Chinese food for lunch, Fisherman's wharf and Golden gate bridge and San Jose, California, the weather is good, clear skies all day, but the temperature is warm, 29 degrees Celsius, which is not typical, even in July and October, but it only last 2 days, I enjoy my trip to San Francisco. Sorry, I know it's a lot of information, but hope you read all. When are you gonna visit San Francisco?
