The bit coming across the channel was very special. Clouds below and some height and then seeing the coast. 🙌

A very generous gesture from the airfield guy in Rhine Eschendorf. Seems like you have a great community within the flying fraternity.

Hi Trev, just caught up with this one. What a great ending to your expedition in very testing conditions. I still can't work out where you finally landed. Presumably in Kent having just flown over the Channel. I originally thought Pent Farm, but then changed my mind to Clipgate Farm. Both look familiar... but I'm still not convinced it's either 🫣 Great video... keep them coming 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Hi Kev it's Ripple near Deal. An excellent little farm strip that is ideal for a departure or return from France. There is still episode 19 that gets us home to Deenethorpe kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJ7Oc4Kegr-agcksi=fZNhhG9Q4AYtqHAl Thanks for watching👍

So how do you become a microlight pilot? Do you have to do a PPL?
@trev.lee.adventure5 ай бұрын
The minimum requirement is National Private Pilot Licence (NPPL)
@SailorGerry5 ай бұрын
Can a person be diabetic and still obtain a NPPL? Do realize that the aviation medical regulations are a lot more strict in the EU and UK than those in the US, Canada or Australia. For example, in the US & Canada, one can hold a CPL or ATPL and be a diabetic, as long as it is 'under control'.
@trev.lee.adventure5 ай бұрын
@SailorGerry I'm not sure but i would imagine that you would have to show history of keeping it under control
