if you want to do this again with less weight consider the Ecoflow River power station and the Dash Mini griddle. You can cook a burger or eggs on it and it only draws 350W. That is exactly what I'd like to be able to do in the Pacific Northwest near my home. Some Epic point A to point B "flying" with some light camping gear is a great idea, Tucker. Powered parasails are the lightest of bush planes. I've backpacked in "the wilderness" in places I with adequate landing zones. Some bush tires (larger diameter balloon tires) might expand the landing and take-off capability over rougher terrain.

Tucker, that's very cool! You need to be able to extend your camping time with that power system, by looking into roll-up solar panels, to charge the battery with, once you're at your "glamping" destination. No clue as to how many panels you'd need to fully charge up, during the day, but I do know panels have become way more efficient, these days. You've dealt with solar on your van, before, so you already know what you need, I'd think. You just need to track down roll-up panels you could temp-stow under your trike's length, and deploy on arrival. Instead of using the grill, except for an emergency, maybe, consider using MRE esbit stoves, or flameless ration heaters for cooking. This will drastically extend your battery's longevity, and greatly reduce the amount of time needed to fully charge, each day. Thanks for sharing this with us, Tucker. :)
@alanhyt79 Жыл бұрын
There are lightweight water powered electric generators, too. Camping near a river or stream in the Pacific NW is easy since we have them everywhere, but we don't always get sunshine. Secure the turbine in the current and you've got a small hydroelectric system that can charge devices 24/7. Wind power is also possible, but windy conditions aren't suitable for paramotoring as we all know.

How about an air-to-air fly-in. Air in which to fly the paramotor and air to inflate (using Anker & pump) a kayak, raft or inner tube. You can float down a river (one that circles around on itself to minimize walk back (or bring big wheel?) or paddle around in a lake. Down the road, learn to scuba dive and do an air-to-air fly-in and river, pond or lake dive. The tank would likely have to be something less than an Al-80 or don't bring the Anker. Keep your altitude down after diving to minimize chance of decompression sickness but totally do-able. Maybe a fly and fly-fish? Great vid! Thank you.

The PCT (Pacific Crest Trail) is over 2,000 miles in the most rugged desolate areas in the country. The AT (Appalachian Trail) is much closer and has the "hundred mile wilderness" that is very remote.
