Loved this. “ I dont know why he is landing over there, says to land on the south runway.” Gets closer “ I. Ant tell where the runways are I’m just going to land where the other guy did. I don’t know where to park, I’m just going to park where everyone else is. Made an MSFS group flyer feel right at home with those remarks.
@tracer4092 жыл бұрын
Your thoughts as you entered in to Deadcow were exactly mine as I entered. First time for me this year, and when the runways were not laid out as described in the Stol-tam I thought, Cool just roll with it! My arrival was on Friday mid morning and things were considerably more exciting with the increased traffic.

Ryan- I appreciate you expressing your thought process while trying to identify the run way, etc. I'm currently time building for commercial and flying to new airports can be confusing at times for me. It's reassuring to know that even high time professional pilots need a moment to assess the situation before landing. Thanks!

Watching all of your past videos from PNG, man I gotta say that was so cool seeing you use the skills you demonstrated as a professional pilot in those hills to these hills. Sometimes following the first guy leads you into trouble... sometimes it leads you to victory. The difference is knowing when to follow and when to do your own flight. since there wasn't anyone there yet you probably could have landed perpendicular to the runway and not gotten more than a harsh squint back at camp

I know you sell your own sunglasses but Flying Eyes is the only way to go with ANR headsets. I held off for years and was finally fed up with the lack of sealing and mostly the pressure pain on the temples from all the sunglasses I tried. Hey Ryan, can you adjust the gate setting on your mic (up or down, not sure which way) to let a little more ambient noise bleed through? The hard cutoff is a little annoying for continual listening. Just a thought. Really enjoy your posts, btw. Used to dream of piloting; too old now to fulfill it meaningfully.
