It's not just a world war game, that's just one scenario and it's just a demo right now. You can download it and see there is a second Europe option with many more provinces and includes north africa/middle east, as well as an option for the whole world map which isn't implemented yet. Patience brother.

Yo drew just so you know I found a great way to boost my economy in the game by mining gold and using the mint building to turn it into money. I had a very large Germany and spanned iberia and nazi Germany at its peak and had very large armies of 100k+. Even with the armies bringing down my profit I was making upwards of 50k/turn
