I always thought that, while Karen may be a complete airhead, she is probably a great friend. She’s always happy, goes with the flow, and was the least drama-prone of all the Plastics. Sure, she got pulled into drama but even when asked if she’d want to know if someone said something bad about her, her first response was “No.”
@MiciousDawn9 ай бұрын
I might have thought the same when I was younger when the movie first came out, but now that I'm older (39) I learned that she actually isn't a good friend either. She is an integral piece to the creation of a toxic group; the apathetic leaf in the wind who lets the bullies run her life. Karen doesn't form her own opinion, doesn't use her voice, doesn't stand up for her friends, and doesn't have an apparent compass of what is right or wrong (hooking up with her cousin??) and you don't want a friend like that. It would have been nice if there was more fleshed out development of both Karen and Gretchen.

@haeataanaru8462Exactly, while being a bystander doesn’t make you as MUCH of a witch as the ones doing the majority of bullying themselves, it makes you part of the problem and largely at fault in many ways. The movie’s message was to show how everyone in some sense can be a “mean girl.” Karen’s vibes were very much remind me of the quote “All that is required for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.” Silence and absent-mindedness alone can do enough damage.
@golden_tears_9 ай бұрын
@@johnisuncomfortable4279 she’s not pure positivity, she makes fun of everyone in the burn book and the people Regenia bullies. Just because she isn’t the worst one out of the group, doesn’t mean she isn’t an asshole. She doesn’t defend anybody, including Regina and Gretchen who have been her “friends” for years. She may be the most “redeemable” out of the three, but that doesn’t mean you should want her as a friend 😭

She laughs when Regina pulls the planned parenthood act to hurt another girl. She finds it funny. How is she is nice person ??? She doesn’t care at all about what is happening to anyone. Also the new Mean Girls is actually a movie of the 2018 MUSICAL version that was on Broadway. There actually was a Mean Girls 2, but it wasn't the same cast other than the teachers and it was just bad.

He laughed at all the best, dumbest parts and called out all the bad hair 😂. This was a great idea, he was so funny

Thanks, Shoshana! Thanks, Vince! 🎀 Mark Waters directed this one. The 2024 remake should be fun to compare.

If you move around the goth side you get to see Janice's hairtsyle and other variations. I don't wear it but I kinda like it.

Some people totaly miss the premise of the movie, always saying stuff like "Well Karen was super nice" or "Janis was the real mean girl". No okay no, let me tell u. Everyone is a mean girl, thats legit the point of the movie, its not that only the plastics r the mean girls. Its every girl in this movie. Its not called "mean girl" its "mean GIRLSSSS". Theres no good guy its just that everyone s mean at some point or all the time

Aw I’m so glad this popped up in my recommendations. Loved your reaction, so fun. Definitely react to those gems you mentioned. Also some older 90s 2000s tv shows like Buffy.

As a guy, I do not understand Aaron. After all that, he just ends up with a girl who framed their teacher for selling drugs and ruined an ex... I would have just moved on and found me a quieter girl. Also, Karen is the best, perhaps the only one who was not a completely bad person.
