I always love when MC “forgets” about a knife, as there is a pretty damn good chance I also once looked at it and thought “oh, that’s pretty spiffy” but lost track of the design in the mix of everything else. Odds are that it isn’t something that I want to buy, but it’s a design I’m glad exists for the sake of variety & seeing what sorts of ideas the mad scientists come up with.

Yep, have that mechanism on my Fox Radius. I swear there was another model with that lock before this Metamorphosis. Idk how I feel about it being a flipper, because the traditional mechanism locked closed too, which I liked to a degree.

Ah, the wrist-flick. Takes me back to the 1970's and Buck 110s flying across the room from a wrist-flick gone wrong. Good (but dangerous) times!

The one inch punch of flips is a fantastic analogy for what alot of knife guys experience with a soft detent. I even make the sound effect sometimes. HI-YAHHH!!! Lol

This is the answer from Kunwu. I asked if we can have them next week. Thanks for reaching out. We hope it can be but unfornately it still have not been finished yet. Since we must make sure that each one comes out meets the strict quallity criteria Kunwu imposed.So it will take some time for production. We'd like to thank you for your patience! I'm pretty sure they originally said that they were aiming to start shipping around Christmas, and it's a long boat ride. I would be surprised if they arrive before March or April. I could be mistaken though.

It's a neat looking design, but I'm pretty sure another knife already used this mechanism before Fox, and it feels a little jank that there is a massive open slot into the pivot area. I'm sure it's a decent knife, but it always struck me as a bit off.

I have an old Camilus knife from the early 2000's with a similar deployment method, with a liner lock

mc how long does the shipping take for kunwu typically delivering to the sunny beaches on the west coast 🤙. i know your knife doesn’t ship til christmas but i was curious if you had any insight on delivery time?

Probably a month. Give or take 2 weeks. Shipping from China can have a lot of hang ups or none at all.
