I've never heard of pine needle tea. I had to google it! Such a cool nugget of information to file away. Do the crowdfunding for your birthday! It can't hurt. 🙃

Hey James! Good to see you. Sometimes days are just like that! That trail you explored on foot that didn't seem to go anywhere may have been a fire break, or fire line, or possibly a skid trail that the timber company used to access the timber stand. From your video, the area did look like the State may have been thinning some of the timber stands. OMG! Gnats, biting flies, yellow jackets, and especially mosquitoes can definitely put a damper on the fun outdoors. I'm looking forward to the Fall and winter. Not sure about Virginia, but the winters in Alabama have been so mild the past few years. Climate change? My grandmother used to predict how bad the bugs would be the following year based on how mild the winter was. She'd say the bugs will be bad because the winter wasn't could enough to kill off most of the bugs. LOL! Anyway, I prefer Fall and winter. They're the best times for hiking and biking out in the forest, especially in Alabama. The only drawback is that the Fall season coincides with hunting season, so you have to be careful/ be visible to hunters. It can be nerve racking to hear a gun shot in the distance when you're out in the woods. That's for taking us along to explore the Charlotte State Forest. Take care!

Thank you so much for watching! It’s been hotter than normal here as well. Hunting season is about to begin so I’ll be out of the state forrest for awhile.
