This is a really good comparison. A nerf that doesn’t ruin the fun in playing her that I’ve had in mind is: Keep amp dive kick safe on block, but reduce the pushback on block. That way she has to actually deal with pressure afterwards instead of just jumping as if she never lost her turn.

I just picked up Nitara this week and OMG, mastering her air movements is crazy difficult. She doesn’t really have much plus frames so you have to take advantage of whiff punishing and trying to mix up with different kameos. I took so long to pick her up because she looked like such a challenge to get all the way down, but here I am, working at it 😅

Yeah, she’s such a glass canon. And I don’t think she’s a great pick in an offline setting, similar to Scorpion + Ferra because her cancels become more real the higher the ping

Yeah, she isn’t top 5 in my opinion, but she does break the “rules” that other characters follow with air movement like Homelander, Sektor, Takeda etc. A light nerf that would ease some pain is just make amp divekick have less pushback on block. It being safe is cool, but she should have to deal with pressure instead of stealing her turn back every time with the pushback.

It’s really fun to watch. I don’t even think she’s broken. Just tune amp divekick to have less pushback on block. You can keep it safe, but with the pushback she basically gets to keep her turn on such a valuable move.

​@Diff I main nitara. I'm only in the top 5000 on ranked leaderboards. I will say her movement can feel super broken in some matchups and in others it feels weak. Her overhead gets interrupted constantly by mashing opponents. Also she has so many gaps in her strings for the opponent to armor out of. On top of that, a high armor move that is honestly garbage. I think she needs that dive kick and I think she is very balanced right now. She has the lowest health in the game as well people seem to forget that. Sometimes I'm starting matches up to 250 health down from my opponent which is absurd considering almost every character in the game can 2 touch me to death.

I usually counter Nitara with Khameleon Kameo with the mileena Sai’s I know you gotta wait for that to pop up but it’s a useful tool and makes the Nitara have to watch your Kameo

Some characters move like mk11 and some like mkx. Some do normal damage like 35% some do 45-50. Some grab do 110 and some grab 30%. And then they wonder why plp are leaving. Because you feel cheated when you lose in 2 touches.

It can, I think in previous R2R1’s I’ve converted off that in the exact way you are talking about. Her hurtbox though is a bit wonky so it can drop though, and she can actually dive kick punish s2’s recovery is she baits or spaces well

If you guess right and block well, her health makes things easy. If you don’t, it might be the fastest rounds in any MK game. I can’t think of many characters with quicker kill potential

It’s a good time if you just don’t take it too seriously. I had a bit there where I felt like I was leaning on the MK1 hate train. I started treating it like I did MK11 in college, a game I played when my friends weren’t online and treated the set play of matches like chess. Brought life back into my enjoyment.

You can, but if she air dash cancels into low sweep your also eating chunky damage so it’s a big risk. Against normal Nitara players it’s a lot easier but with the risk of a Sonya overhead spaced well, and multiple bait cancels to try and get me to up block, it’s just a risk.

I think Scorpion + Ferra damage could be toned down Nitara amp dive kick should still be safe, but make it have less pushback so she actually feels pressure afterwards. Havik health or damage nerf Tremor extra health should come down now that he’s buffed Remove Kenshi Then of course I have a bunch of buffs in mind for some of the lower tier characters haha

Got beat by somebody on a Smurf account last video that dropped me 40 ish spots and the Kenshi loss last video dropped me 30. So his ELO wasn’t where it was supposed to be yet. I think I ended 180 something and then it dropped to 190 just by people passing me cause I hadn’t played in a few days. Streaks and W/L don’t really matter too much, it’s just an indicator cause we don’t get win odds % anymore. You’ll see rank 50,000 players on 15 win streaks because they are only matching up against similarly skilled opponents.
