I miss her so much; she had been in a couple of hospital and nursing homes. She was 91 years old when she died in October of 2020. I NEVER got a chance to ever go shopping with her. She loved to go with a friend of hers thrift store shopping. 😢

late husband used to turn wood vases and the "checks" in the wood made them more interesting. used primarily for silk and dried flowers. but sometimes he would make copper flowers for them. the checks came from the wood drying out. from PA so not only NV thing. love seeing the wood things.

I had all 4 Northern Tissue girls, but my favorite was the one your Mom showed, the cute little blue-eyed, brown-haired girl, because I was a little blue-eyed, brown-haired girl. My Dad was an advertising copywriter, and he worked on the Northern Tissue account.

Yeah, it is! Thanks. My Dad worked at a very well-known ad agency, Young and Rubicam,, in the 50's, 60's, and early-mid 70's. One of my proudest moments was, after the 1972 Olympics tragedy, when Israeli athletes were killed. My Dad was asked to write an ad for his client, International Harvester, about the tragedy. My Dad wrote it, and called it into his company in about 30 minutes, and it was aired, showing a compassionate side to International Harvester. It was beautifully written, and well received at the time.
