My vote is for matching cabinets instead of two tones and keep in mind that darker colors make small spaces appear even smaller. Great job on the thrifting and the video! Girl power! 😁

I agree. I have a small kitchen & painted my dark cabinets white & couldn’t believe how much bigger & brighter my kitchen looks. I’m not a fan of anything green, but I think if you’re going to flip a house everything should be neutral colors. Let the buyer change the color to their liking if they want.

Hi Hayley! To answer the question about the colour for cabinets. The green is very nice however, In my opinion I think something more neutral like grey would be better. Thinking of the tenant and would be easier for them to match decor. Just my thoughts, it is of course totally up to you guys. I’m just thinking from a tenant point of view! Hi Hayley, great video! Hope Josh is feeling better soon. Just wanted to say we just finished having our kitchen redone about three months ago. We did the two-tone with white on top and a dark blue on the bottom. I don’t regret the blue, however, the white was a mistake. And I can’t imagine renters taking care of it. It gets dirty so incredibly easily just food for thought.

Good finds! Love the vintage Coach bags - great quality! I think that kitchen gets so much natural light that the darkest green would be beautiful and versatile. Darker green seems more neutral than a brighter green, to me. Hope Josh feels better!

Great video! You found so much. When I was considering the cabinetry for a kitchen remodel last summer, I asked the consultant about using two colors, light on uppers, dark below. I told him that I had seen them in several magazines. He said that would be the only place I’d find them. Out of all the home owners his business had worked with in a year,not one had selected the two colors. He felt that it was a trend that designers were pushing, but people didn’t buy into it. I think having different colors would definitely date the kitchen. Having things match is timeless. I choose to go with a smokey teal for all of my cabinets and I’m using red and a very dark teal as accents. Have fun with your project.

The kitchen is huge and an island would really help draw attention to your house versus other houses when you start looking for renters.

HALEY Great job on the show today! on the flip house, as a retired painter 2nd gen. and a landlords son i gotta tell you that the cabinets need to be a neutral color. i know that you really like the green cabinets but you gotta remember this is a rent house and the most people may not like the colored cabinets. and since that you wont be living there you need to try to please the larger %. im just trying to help.

As a retired Realtor I can tell u that Neutral colors sell & decorate more easily. So for kitchen stay with your gray tones theme that u have in the rest of the house, I.e. bathrooms. It's easy to add a pop of color with personal property like towels, vases, bowls & counter top appliances.

On the kitchen cabinet colors; a lighter green will make the room appear larger as darker colors tend to make rooms look smaller and darker of course unless their is lots of natural lighting. Just one person's suggestion.

Haley and Josh as a landlord's son. i would not put expensive tile in the rent house. Renters tear up things and dont care about your property i would put the much cheaper fiberglass 1 piece shower/tub combo. i also would do a inside/outisde inspection EACH MONTH in the contract to protect your investment. If the renters dont like that i wouldn't rent it to them.
