Being able to mod PC GW2 is a double-edged sword. On one side you can make really cool mods, but on the other side you'll have to deal with online cheaters like this guy.

The thing is most mods are made to not work online, although some people still intentionally make mods to use online

Just to clear up any confusion not all mods are bad, some mods will only change the game in ways that don't effect online play (a good example of this would be vivid warfare by petrifying, a mod which only changes the games visuals and lighting) mod creators can also add multiplayer locks to mods which prevents you from taking a mod online

yeah it still works, though some characters (junkasaurus, zomboss cat and super bean) have had reports of users being banned when using them, if you dont use them it should be completely safe

Fell on 3 different hackers today...2 of them just joined on game as it was about to be over, they yelled in the mic and kicked everyone from the game and we lost all progress made in game (i lost 3 levels at least)

Some mods actually stop you from using it online, having the same cross as the one that sometimes appears on solo play when people are in your backyard Other modders will promote "works online" AND IT SUCKS

Make sure your mods dont work online to make sure the hackers are the lowest possible although some people still make them to intentionally kill the game
