I thought sure the ex would show up during business hours, get his butt kicked by not only Kent, but by the pub's customers, too, and then get arrested for assault & battery and attempted kidnapping. I'm disappointed that the cop didn't haul the ex away to jail instead of letting him go.

As he said, he can't do anything unless Mary presses charges with the evidence she has. otherwise he'd have to see the assault himself in order to be able to arrest the Ex. She doesn't want to press charges because she'll get nothing out of it, rather she'd basically just be giving money to the courts. Clearly Ex is broke otherwise he wouldn't be coming to look for Mary. Not that he'd be able to pay compensation anyways since he'd be going to jail. So it's better to just scare him off with the threat of an arrest. A restraining order probably would've been the best route though.

Kent did the right thing taking in Mary and Yuka when they were running away from her ex-husband speaking of which that guy should have ended up arrested for the horrible things he did to her but it's sweet that Kent, Mary and Yuka ended up a family in the end.😊

this thumbnail feels like a rip from kawaii romcom mangas channel like on a bitterly cold night,when i brought home a freezing,raggedy mother and child... from 2 months ago. i gotta say, even thought kent DID do a good job of warding off mary's ex-husband,the way he grabbed him was weak as hell. i don't get why single parents in romcom is considered a thing or hot? i just don't get it now. the story isn't bad (even though it feels similar just the title and thumbnail alone feels the same too) but i wished the story would at least have kent break the dude's are or punched him in his face,knocking him out cold. i know some channels do that but i wanna see it here too but they do have some if memory serves. i swear this mc's voice sounds like he's tired or high and the fmc's voice sounds like a major turn-on for me. this character design and art style is gaining traction as time goes on in manga dub channels in general.
