Several years ago, I packed up my Lionel trains when we moved. Had a large layout in the basement. Then recently I got back into model trains but HO scale. I love the scale, detail, DCC, and operations. But when I watch your videos, I often think about unpacking those Lionel trains and finding a place to set em up!

Whistle battle winner is the 4014 Big Boy. I have seen the Big Boy twice and experienced the whistle on that engine. I is incredible how close Lionel got that whistle. The first time I heard it was as it arrived in Fort Worth in 2022. I was about 50 feet from the whistle when they blew it. You've seen the insect collectors that have the bugs pinned to a panel? It's like that. It gets you're attention. Now, the Challenger is no slouch. It's beautiful. I, like others, thought you had another custom run. I wish I had the budget to get just one of these. I think I like the Challenger pulling the UP train. It makes those red engines really pop! Really good vlog today. As always.

I love this engine! The Challenger is one of my favorite steam engines. And my favorite color is red, so all this engine is great to me! I do prefer the whistle on the big boy, through the whistle on the challenger sounds more realistic so I'm half and half on this whistle battle. At 1st I thought this was a custom run you were making too, and I thought it was a big boy instead of a challenger 😅. Great video Chris!
