The wadi indeed is very beautiful. It is perhaps caused by water cutting into the ravine, which seems like sandstone. Saudi has subterranean water stores, which may be because of ancient rivers running through the land which is now desert. Same is the story with Saharan Africa. Underground water is present. Extracting it is a major issue. The local Arabs were hospitable and generous enough to safeguard your belongings and later sharing their food with you. It's certainly develops a bonding between people. You are doing great. Keep it up and looking forward to your next upload. Good luck!!
