Bobby and Helen, that was an amazing catch. Some Lamprey species die after breeding, which they do in fresh water. That is a possibility, though they like clean rivers and streams to lay breed in. Yes, please for a return trip there.

Those fish you caught were crazy. There was just a bunch of fire eels and synodontis catfish and that big turtle I think is a red eared slider but I can’t tell because it’s head is in the shell, but they usually have mossy shells. And if you’re gonna keep a lamprey, make sure there is no other fish is it’s tank or pond if you need live fish to keep.
