It is actually a grave. It would have buried under a mound, which has weathered away and left the stone lining.

It’s mizen, pronounced as miz and zen, mizen peninsula, it’s a megalithic tomb, the mass rocks are a seperate type of rock (typically from 17/18th century), nothing to do with megalithic tombs. As to religion, get a local guide, you are guessing/thinking up stuff on the fly. Ireland’s history is long, mixed/not clear cut,picking out one point in history and thinking out loud about it, is not helping people who come across this vlog. Mixing up theories, personal beliefs and flotsam is not the same as historical facts. There are plenty of books/magazines, documentaries that can fill in details. Please consult before erupting with half baked theories etc, thanks.
