Nah, Shiki wasn't a Roger's rival. Shiki is strong, but still weaker than Emperor/Yonko, more over to a King of Pirates. Plus, Supreme Great Swords is a "sacred swords" in one piece world, that no one would use them as feet. So definitely Shiki never have any supreme great sword.

@@nobodyjustme7481 shiki is definitely stronger than any of the yonkos, he had one of the best feat against Roger, Roger was lucky that there was a storm on the dayhe fought shiki, if there was no storm, shiki's crew would have defeated roger's crew, and his feat at marineford was quite remarkable, going up against prime garp and sengoku and destroying half of marineford on his own is a feat far bigger than any feat shown by any of the yonkos, and he was the second to escape impel down, non other before them

@@JosephVanlalfela About Battle of Edd War, not only Shiki was impacted by storm, Roger also (in sick condition). But only Shiki who couldn't avoid injuries. Roger even didn't need to have duel to defeat him. Which means Shiki is way weaker than Roger. About Garp and Sengoku, all Yonkos have fought against Garp. Even Roger asked a Vice Admiral to bring Garp and Sengoku if want to fight him (right before Roger firstly met Oden). But only Shiki who got captured and sent into Impel Down, there is no any Yonko ever captured and sent into Impel Down. Indeed Shiki escaped from Impel Down, but losing his two feets though. Luffy and his friends could also escaped from Impel Down, but without loosing any of their body part. And those wasn't the only Shiki's defeats. 11 years before Battle of Edd War, Roger and Garp also could defeats him along with the entire Rocks Pirate (Rocks D Xebec, Edward Newgate, Charlotte Linlin, Kaido, Shiki, Captain John, Silver Axe and Ochoku) in God Valley Incident. This means, in his younger age Roger even stronger than his captain, Rocks D Xebec. Don't forget, Kaido even claimed the only people who could match him (Roger, Rocks D Xebec, Whitebeard, Oden and Shanks), none of those list is Shiki. This clearly means Shiki wasn't Roger rival, not even Yonkos.

@@nobodyjustme7481 shiki wasn't way weaker than Roger, the gap is very narrow, even if Roger was sick, his physical condition wasn't effected and his strength wasn't downgrading, it's just that he doesn't have much time left, and Roger had rayleigh, gaban and other famous crews who would rival whitebeard's crew, and shiki was that close on defeating them all Not all yonkos have fought against garp, shanks has not, Blackbeard has not officially go 1 v 1 against him, Roger asking vice admiral to sent garp or sengoku was because those normal Marines would never be able to catch them, only garp and sengoku were a match for roger, and only shiki himself was able to fight garp and sengoku for days and destroy half of marineford, on his own, no one has ever done that feat, whitebeard may have somewhat destroy marineford, but he was with his whole fleet on that raid, no yonko has ever been captured into impel down because non have every confronted prime garp and sengoku on their own, also shiki loosing his legs doesnt imply his weakness, it's even more of a mystery how he walked out of impel down without his legs, it took diversions, teameorks, breakouts and sacrifices for luffy's escape from impel down, he wasn't alone, he was working with others to escape impel down How Garp and roger's alliance defeated rocks is still a mystery, rocks had whitebeard, kaido, big mom and shiki, chapter 1049 somehow show how they lost, which was mainly due to treason or they was no team effort, they were not suitable for teamwork, their crew was unable to work as a team, and ofcourse, Roger + garp is surely the strongest duo, but neither of them could not individually defeat rocks alone, they had to team up against him, Kaido didn't compare shiki to the others because he likely never confronted him or doesn't know much about him, rather he compares those who he has met personally and confronted them regularly

Because the power is not measured by physical ability only, but also by ability to make good strategies, teamworks, and determination until they achieved the results. Lack of strategies, unable to run a teamwork, is included into the weakness. This is why Shiki way weaker than Roger, and he never win against Roger. And still, he even weaker than Yonkos. It's all showed from the results: 1) Shiki along Rocks Pirates got defeated by Garp and Roger at Incidents of God Valley. 2) Shiki got defeated by Roger at Battle of Edd War. 3) Shiki got defeated by Sengoku and Garp at Invasion of Marineford 4) Shiki lost his legs to escape from Impel Down. 5) Roger became King of Pirates, Shiki never win anything. 6) Whitebeard, Big Mom, Kaido, and Shanks became Yonko, but Shiki just a captain of his own pirates. Note: My comments not to disgrace Shiki. Shiki maybe evil but sometimes Shiki is calm and funny nice guy. Shiki was compared to Roger not because he was equal to Roger, but because he was the most eager and persistent man to encounter Roger, but always lost. It's because he actually admire Roger, and just wanted Roger to accompany him to rule the world. He also mad when Roger got captured and felt the humiliation by marine because Roger was planned to be executed in East Blue (weakest place). That's why he invades and destroyed half of Marineford. It's like Coby who will always against Luffy, but still admire Luffy.

At this point you might aswell through anything in the list, let’s talk about the confirmed ones, whitebeard Roger mihawk. These are three of the strongest people in the world. Candidates such as shanks and xebec also match into the categories. But when you say kaido it’s ridiculous his club cracked and it’s probably just a big club he uses cuz he likes blunt weapons, and oneshotting luffy was because of kaido’s strength not the strength of the sword. The more ridiculous part is about kuina’s grandpa. Just because he forged enma and ame no habakiri doesn’t mean he possesses a senju o wazamono. The current wielders of a senju are all shown to be powerful enough to change the world, no way a sword maker is in possession of it, and saying green bull has it with no evidence is bs.
