Hi Kelly, my favorite piece today was the $40 wing back chair. Such an unbelievable price. Sears catalog was a staple in my home in the early 70's and more. I ordered my children's clothes through the catalog and when the Christmas book came most of the kids toys came from there. All my appliances, vacuums, and my sewing machines were always a Sears Kenmore. I also loved JC Penney too. I was a catalog shopper because it made my life easier with 3 children. OMG! My favorite find was that Asian screen. I love oriental decor! YAYY! Loved the gorgeous aged wooden bureau on casters for $125. Quality lasts. The $45. vintage dishes bring back memories. The teddy bears are precious. And I have my mother’s hutch collecting dust in the garage; way too big for my cottage. You’re so kind to take us along, Kelly!! ❤️💚❤️

Saw my name on Santa’s list, must’ve been a good girl! lol! The chest of drawers with the lion head drawer openers, looked like the same one my grandfather had. I saw the Paul Prudhomme cookbook, have his recipe for candied sweet potatoes soooo good! Love the holly and ivy napkin holders, I believe were 4 in a set, would love those! Loved the antique oak dresser with the complete China set. I do remember Sears and Roebuck catalog but we were a Montgomery Wards catalog family, especially around Christmas time. I would pick out toys and clothes I wanted Santa to get me for Christmas! lol! Again, thank you for taking us around your local habitat store! Again I wish they would have one in England! Love, love, love the dresser, I am too surprised they haven’t sold yet, I think that was my favourite find and the napkin rings ( one I mentioned earlier ).

Your Restore videos are a lovely way to start the day! The Thomas Edison Phonograph caught my attention as my house is from the same era. I wasn't expecting the wood cut-out design front or the LARGE SIZE! I was expecting a tabletop "Gem" model or the size of the early radios with the tubes in the back. My folks had two of those and they went to my oldest brother and sister. I hope they are passed down through the family generations.

Hey Kelly gal!! My favorite finds were the hutch/china cabinet and that gorgeous chaise lounger!!! 🥰Would love to curl up with a good book on that beauty! Our Christmas tree is slightly flocked along with red berries and pine cones, love it! And yes, my husband loves to hunt, so I cook deer meat quite often. I make a mean deer roast, I put the ground deer meat in my chili sometimes. We make deer jerky. Oh and duck is one of my favorites too. Good eating! My sister lives in PA. in a Sears & Roebuck house. Sadly for my sweet sister, it has to be the tiniest model they sold and was not built with a plumbed kitchen, so her sink is in the teeny "dining room." It is a veritable "mouse house" but for all its treacherous ladders to the basement and "closet kitchen," it's still solid, unlike so many pricey and pretty but hastily made homes today:)

I'm 20 hours late watching. How sweet, you put our names on Santa's list. My husband asked me if you put me on the good list or naughty list. 🤣🤣 At first sight, I thought one of the Christmas ornaments was a sock monkey, but it wasn't. Then, I thought a sock monkey tree would be perfect in an animal shelter and each dog that gets adopted during the holidays gets a sock monkey off the tree to take home. 🐒🎄🐕 Small yarn balls for the cats. Can't leave them out. No favorites today, but love the shopping visit.

Grandmother Eiffert used to make Bear, Elk and Deer meatloaf. It was fantastic! The comic Christmas plates were great and I just love the glass jar tea lights...very Elegant. Talking about elegant I had a friend and she had a chase lounge just like that in her master bathroom. Can you believe it? AND it fit beautifully.

When we moved from Mississippi to Alabama due to my dad finishing college and getting his teaching degree, we went to Sears and bought all new furniture and appliances. That was the day I went from being poor to living comfortably. 1967. I was almost 10 years old. ☺

Yes I had furniture from Sears bedroom furniture and a kitchen set from The Open hearth just gave the sets to my oldest daughter who turned 50 so I had them for about 40 years she was just a little tight when I got them they used to have some of the most beautiful furniture in the store but that time is gone now so it's fun to look back and see

First, I love your channel. Wild Game. I grew up eating a lot of wild game as my dad was a hunter. I love elk over venison. I love wild duck over pheasant. Elk and venison make the best chili. Wild game has to be processed properly and it is an acquired taste, but in some respects, it is better than beef and super healthy.

Yes, I’ve cooked venison for years ( 53 to be exact), because my husband and his brothers come up to where we live (Arkansas) and hunt since we live on 120 acres and have another 90, (which is the house where my husband was born in), and the land around it. I only fry the tenderloin like chicken fried steak with of course, white gravy, and the rest of the meat we grind up into hamburger meat . I have never been able to taste any “ wild “ taste in the meat. I use garlic powder mixed in with the flour when I coat the meat before frying. That may take out the wild taste, I’m not sure. Anyway, his brothers have to have me make them some deer steaks, while they’re here, because their wives won’t fix it for them. I don’t know why.

I love wild game meats. It does have a certain flavor that a lot of people don't care for, but as a country person , I grew up eating turkey, fish, squirrel, rabbit and deer. Now I am not able to get any more of these foods much less stand at the stove and cook it.
