The pointed out fakeouts weren’t fakeouts. Candles with wicks on BOTH sides are warnings. Trend is indicated only by green candles with upper wicks (uptrend) and red candles with lower shadows (downtrend). Those are the actual signals, whereas candles with wicks/shadows on top AND bottom are preparatory or indecisive. No other version of Heikin Ashi is needed if you understand this.

@@xenagabrielle1631 Wow, I haven’t thought of that until now. After my Japanese translation and editing career, I taught English literature and academic writing from 2009 until this year (2024). Cryptocurrency trading enabled me to retire early while I’m still in my 50s. Now, I have so much time on my hands, and I hadn’t thought about teaching trading techniques. However, I think there are already so many resources online for anyone to learn how to trade by themselves just as I did. Therefore, I don’t know what further contribution I could offer by being another cryptocurrency trading guide among many others. Ive backtested this strategy with my real money and I use it daily on the 5m/15m. (Along with multiple other patterns/indicators/levels).The Key is waiting for the reversal, and waiting for price to pull back, then seeing price respect this new area with a green/red candle (whether your buying calls/puts). @@EGR370 you want to go in as soon as price respects this new level with a nice candle. If buyers and sellers are going back and forth its better to be patient and wait for a large candle in the direction you are trading. Personally my ideal set up is when all moving averages cross (20,50,100,200 EMAS) around a key level such as Premium/Discount. Then I wait for a nice move that creates a Fair Value Gap/ Order Block. I enter on the retest UNLESS, buyers and sellers are going back and forth. I will wait for a large candle in the direction im trying to enter. Once i enter, stop loss strictly above/below that Fair Value Gap/ Order block. You then move stop loss up/down as you please as to lock in profits. Then you’re in a risk free trade and it all comes down to discipline, and patience.

I use mt4 and what I do is overlay the heiken ashi over my candles. And use the two wick candles as an indicator of a pending reversal for instance a bearish two wick candle on a bullish candlestick

Yeah don’t rely on just indicators gang. As far as strategies, it’s nothing but just reading price action! Support and resistance, supply and demand, order blocks, fair value gaps, learn to identify these areas as they will be your entry levels. Don’t oversize and have proper risk and money management. Trial and errors are apart of trading. You’ll get better with experience!
