As a pest controller this moth/insect conversation was very interesting. Genuinely if you need help boiks with any pest issues I will come and help out 👍🏻 Also my favourite insect is the honeybee, I do live honeybee removals from properties and rehome them either in our own hives or give them to other local bee keepers. They are fascinating creatures and some of the things they can do is amazing

Aw millipedes are cool and don't bite! Centipedes are the ones that bite. You can tell the difference by whether their legs are positioned right under the body (millipedes) or poking out sideways (centipedes). Centipedes also have a pair of specialized legs called forcipules that poke out in front of the head. These are used to inject venom and bring food to the mandibles. Millipedes just wanna chill in decaying leaves and curl up if they're threatened. They also do release bad smells or poison if they're getting eaten or manhandled but they physically can't hurt you if you don't eat them. I still think centipedes are cool but I don't want them near me. One time I had a back injury that caused me extreme pain and made it impossible to move around easily. I managed to get into a hot bath which was immediately soothing. While relaxing for a bit I noticed what looked like a a long hair drip out of the tap into the water. Not a fun time to learn centipedes can swim (the mechanism even attracts formal scientific interest). It was so thin it was borderline imperceptible if you weren't looking for it. I could barely stand up at all let alone quickly enough to get away from that horror scene.

It’s not an insect but it’s one I have to deal with a regular basis now. My nephew (seven years old) owns an African Snail named Brian. This thing is big, like size of one pint of milk big. I have to babysit it sometimes when he goes on holiday.

He's definitely describing clothes moths. They make a little cacoon-like capsule with fibres, then move around using their just their front legs sticking out the front while inside it. Looks like a little roll of fluff or fibre but it has a caterpillar inside.

Wash your clothes on high heat or get them dry cleaned. I’d recommend getting a steamer and steam every crack and crevice inside the wardrobe, drawers and the wall floor junctions of the carpets and around furniture 👍🏻
