There's another route called "souless pacifist" where you do pacifist run after completing the genocide route. The game/ending is slightly different so I reccomend you looking up the ending if you don't want to play through the whole game again.

You can actually meet Gaster in game depending on your FUN VALUE. Each time you start a new game, you are assigned a random number from 1-100. Depending on the number, it can trigger certain events in the game like the wrong number song, Alphys calling you to order pizza, meeting Gaster, or Gaster's followers.

alphys’ shenanigans with the the true lab was after at least the first two human’s deaths. in one of the lab entries, alphys says asgore sent her the human souls. it’s hinted that there was a a pretty long gap in between asriel’s death and alphys’ determination experiments, now that i mention it, gaster made the core, chara and asriel lived in the ruins at a point in time. so of course, new home was created with the core, it only makes sense for gaster to be the royal scientist of that time.

I know this isn’t the final Undertale video from TTar yet, but I just want to say how it’s so damn funny and entertaining to watch him play the game. Ok Ttar, I will introduce you to some of the AUs, ok so here are some names: Underswap, Underfell, Swapfell, Inktale, Errortale, Dusttale, Dustbelief, Storyshift, Storyswap, Aftertale, Dancetale, and there are thousands more but I'll explain the ones I know most about, Underswap: basically everything's swapped, papyrus is lazy while Sans is energetic (and people call Underswap Sans Blueberry), Alphys is in the royal gaurd, while Undyne is the royal scientist, Asgore and Toriel are swapped, Grillby and Muffet are swapped, and Chara and Frisk are swapped, Oh! And Flowey and Temmie are swapped. Underfell: basically everyone is super mean except Flowey... Another kinda major difference is that Papyrus is the captain of the royal guard and Undyne isn't in the guard at all probably someone else will explain more. Dusttale: where Sans goes insane after a bunch of Genocide routes and starts killing everyone for their EXP. Storyshift: many differences, Chara and Asriel replace Sans and papyrus, (Chara replaces Sans and Asriel replaces papyrus) Alphys replaces Napstablook, Undyne replaces Mettaton, Toriel replaces Undyne, Asgore replaces Alphys, Papyrus replaces Toriel, Sans rep!aces Asgore, I think Mettaton replaces Chara? And that's pretty much all I know. Swapfell: basically the same as Underswap except everyone is super mean and Sans is the captain of the royal guard and Alphys isn't in the guard. So... That's the AUs I know most about, other people will probably explain other AUs, I don't know much about Inktale and Errortale but I'm pretty sure Ink Sans and Error Sans are from those AUs, I can tell you about Ink and Error though, Ink: the protector of the Multiverse/all the AUs, has no soul, has a paintbrush that opens portals, has these soul vial things that he drinks to gain extra strength when fighting, Trying to track down and stop Error. Error: has blue strings that he uses to grab and destroy the souls, has a bad memory, one day got stuck in the Antivoid and eventually went insane and figured out how to open portals, destroys AUs and only wants one AU to exist, sees everyone as a 'glitch', has these Error things that sometimes make him go blind for a few minutes. So ye... Jeez this took too long to type

Gaster was the royal scientist before alphys, sans and papyrus aren't actualy brothers but were science experiments. My head cannon is that sans and papyrus were origionaly humans but gaster brought them back to protect the monster world which is why their super strong monsters compared to normal ones, especially sans. Thats only my head cannon though. Gaster messed up in a science experiment and basically fell into darkness and is gone. _The True Name_ This game was initially created to make fun of rpg tropes. So theres a lot of meta commentary that goes on in this game. Again Ttar, it's too much to write in a single comment so you can still ping me on discord if you're curious. For the true name however, first of all you have to remember this Is a game. When you're trying to write the game youd have to write the game code with a place holder like, protagonist, character, player etc. As you know the game has a character limit. Originally when the game was made the character limit was so just long enough for any of the place holders to sound like a name. Of which the only more suitable one was Chara from the word character. It being a name is what bridges the game to its rpg world.

Redo the ending for the pacifist run. Now that you've done the Genocide run, you get an altered version referred to as the "Soulless Pacifist Ending". Also, if you meet different conditions for neutral runs, you get different voicemails from Sans when you reach the surface (killing all the monsters except for boss monsters, Killing everyone except for Papyrus, only killing boss monsters, etc) - and a REALLY nice Easter Egg in the Judgment Hall if you Spare everyone EXCEPT for Papyrus (so the only person you kill is Sans' brother).

Sans really does have 1 attack and 1 defense. When he attacks you he does 1 damage. He just hits you repeatedly through multiple universes at the same time, letting him do 1 damage per frame he hits you.

In genocide, you deal extreme amounts of damage, so it wouldn't be necessary to program more than 1 hp into sans, since you can only battle him in genocide. @@zarthy4169 Some AU are edgy af and hardcore. A lot of them are based around Chara or sans but 20 times more edgy. There's good fangames out there for sure, but thankfully they aren't necessarily AUs. They are alternate stories or previous souls stories. Things like Ink Sans or error sans doesn't make sense to me. But hey that's me. It remind me of DragonBall fans making up transformations on transformations and edgier opponents because it's cool and epic but really it shows the limits of the serie. I don't want Undertale to be like that

Going off your time travel theory: what if sans came from a distant future where Asgore instead killed frisk and claimed their soul and sans was tampering with time and accidentally took him and his brother on a 1 way trip to the past suddenly appearing in snowdin, asserted himself because he need a lab of some sort to try and reconstruct his time machine and after many failed attempts gave up and dedicated his life to making sure his brother his happy despite being stuck at that point in time...

With every different play through there is a different FUN number and with different values you get different random events like a phone call or “a door” Also, I suggest checking out glitchtale after this it’s a wonderful fan made series :)
