I Found The Best Fafnir Setup… By Accident War Robots Fafnir Gameplay WR

War Robots Fafnir Gameplay using both Ultimate Igniters and Freedom Igniters. I honestly stumbled upon this setup by accident and didn’t realize just how deadly it was until I decided to test it for a few games. This Fafnir setup not only uses the Nuclear Amplifier but also the Kestrel drone along with the Daredevil skill. I’ve tested the Traditionalist Fafnir before but the Daredevil one is far deadlier especially with flames. Just to do a comparison (because I know players are going to jump to the conclusion that it does well only because I was using Ultimate Igniters), I ran the Ultimate Igniters in the first game and the second game the Freedom Igniters.

Out of all the Fafnir setups I've tested so far, this is by far the most lethal. After testing it with the Ultimate Igniters I decided to test it with regular Igniters too just out of curiosity. And… yes it works just as well even with regular Igniters lol. Who else is currently running this?

Hey Adrian, what are your thoughts about the U Igniters on Ophion. Never seen a single video on it on KZbin...

@@DalE391 I'm sure those weapons can do well on Ophion but… the one issue I have with that build is that the Ophion flies fast. If you're moving fast then it might be harder to hit your target with flames - this goes for both Ultimate Igniters and regular ones.

According to WR Wiki, a normal Igniter on Mk3 does 1,050 damage per liter...an Ultimate Igniter, on the other hand, does 1,850 damage. So the normal or the Freedom only do about 55-60% of the damage of the Ultimate.

The Fafnir is by far one of my favourite bots, he was the first legendary bot I got. And I remember how absolutely OP the built in weapon was, oh I remember.

I used the Freedom Igniters on the Fafnir originally. That build has always been super strong, and charges the MS super quickly.

Igniters are good but I wouldn't personally run it on Ravana. For Ravana you want something like Havocs instead - weapons with high burst damage that empty their clip very fast and reload fast too.

Thats real interesting. The Faf got good defence points on the ground. What do you think about putting an Armadillo instead on that Faf build? I used to run igniters and river chase on a Typhon but its pretty squishy even with Kestrel for heal on kill.

I prefer to have the Kestrel because of the additional speed (since Fafnir is slow). I didn't try Armadillo but I'm sure it'll work along with Beak and even Paralysis.

A lil video idea: Making a hanger which contains robots who have survived multiple meta bots and prime bots at their time. Like ravana who has survived so many generations of new robots and still does good. Similarly fenrir, scorpion and the hawk. The other old hero bot I can think of who still does good these days despite many new generations is gotta be ares. As for the Titan it’s easily arthur. Hopefully we can see a lil video by you titling it as “meta fighters fight back” or smth like that :D

I already had 4 mk3 freedom Ignitors which I used to run on my Typhon and after seeing this build on AYGIR's channel I decided to give it a whirl. I tried to change one of my current pilot skills for traditionalist but no matter which skill I selected it wouldn't give me the traditionalist option. I ended up having to retrain another pilot from scratch. Which worked out for the best anyway because I chose Raphael Petit instead of Svyatogor Belov. It is indeed an absolute beast. You have to watch out for aerial attacks. Primarily from Ophions but other builds too.

Yup but I think if you're in any bot you have to keep an eye out for Ophions. All I know is that the flames with Daredevil (not Traditionalist) is an insane damage build. While Typhon does have River Chase I think this build is actually more insane because that damage boost is active all the time.

Typhon with extra damage pilot and flames is a very solid performer in my hangar. 👍 Charged up amp and its a killer.

I'm still running the Hurricane build on my Fafnir, sitting back and sniping in cover getting around even the Crisis Reapers the set up is honestly that good, it can also keep Crisis Reapers pinned down out of fear that leaving stealth for even a split second will immediately delete their bot. The support fire that this bring sis also enough to annoy the enemy to try and focus you making them bot out faster just to try and take you out of it, and I some times spend the entire game still in my Fafnir because of it only to scrap it if I feel like using something else. The Hurricane build is also still really good if I ever had to brawl with it up close too because of the damage multiplier it gives for targets closer than 300 meters. Multiply that even with the Pilot skills and the right Drone for the job for even more damage.

Just my opinion but you could probably do 10x more damage running something like flamethrowers or even Hazard-Blight if you want range. Why? Because flamethrowers and Hazard-Blight would be charging up your mothership faster. What you can then do is use an offensive mothership and keep using orbital strikes on Crisis. This is exactly what I do and it doesn't matter if the Crisis hides since I can hit them from behind cover and have I think 1100m range.

I have maxed my Fafnir meta killer Legendary pilot to bypass shields. New drone to view enemies in stealth. Rocking with 4x hazard. Fool proof against lynx, dagon, orochi etc.. you can also outrange ochokochi by flying out of map and shooting.

Can you ask pixonic to make an orca themed robot for me? I have recently become an "orcaholic" studying the history of captive orca. It has made me realize hooman r so primative the way we treat life. Maybe the next crossover can be with Shamu after Serious Sam. It should be called "Waru" (War Robot + Shamu) and be a tribute to treating life right. Props to the devs on the design of the Retro Crisis BTW. The Shelby Cobra is a beatiful car.

I run a Ghost Typhon with Petit pilot and incinerators (1 UE and 3 SE) and it works very well. Drone wise, I've tried several and it's so situational. If I survive the first 2+ encounters, then the extra DPS of Kestrel starts to take the edge, but in tough early encounters Beak can be a saver as can Shai. Regardless, fun build - just wish I could get more UE Igniters.

I have level 12 MK2 Freedom Fafnir with 4 MK12 Freedom Igniters. Pilot is Raphael Petit @ 70 Skills are as follows: Master Gunsmith, Daredevil,Armor Expert, Invulnerable Rider, Adamant Guardian, Stubborn Warrior, and Foolhardy Quartermaster Maxed. 1 Nuke and 2 immune Amps maxed. And lastly the Unstable Conduit. It fights ok sometimes but against shotgun weapons I seem to die easily. The only thing different is I don't have anything MK3, this bot seems to die early so I have dumped this build and put the igniters on a maxed mars and it does ok. It may just be the League Im in cause everything gets killed easily LOL. Thanks for all the vids and insight. TotallyT

Your pilot skills aren't exactly as I showed (which you said they were). You don't have things like Road Hog there which is important. Remember your Fafnir is on the ground and the Fafnir is generally slow. This means to help get that damage in you need speed. If your Fafnir is dying fast the MK3 won't give you that much of an edge like you think - players like referring this as a reason to why they die fast. I can't remember the exact percentage in terms of how much durability it adds but it would need to be way more than 25% I think for you to actually notice a difference. You're forgetting that in the current meta we're facing some very high damage builds and because of this older bots need to be adjusted. With your Fafnir you may want to try 2x Repair Amps if you have those maxed out along with your Nuclear Amp. Another option is to try Nuclear Amplifier, Repair Amplifier/Immune Amplifier and Last Stand. The other thing you also didn't mention is your mothership - if you're using more of an attack mothership like Thor you aren't actually healing with those flames which is what helps to keep it alive (remember these are free heals too since it's based on how fast your flames charge up that mothership). In my opinion I wouldn't run Mars - that bot would die faster than the Fafnir build I ran mostly because of what's out there. We have more players running Shield Breaker now because of all the Ophions which means Mars would just get smoked.

Sorry sir but you do not have roadhog on the bot vid you currently have on the start page of WR. (Though you suggest it is) I copied the skill list and equipment pilot EXACTLY as was on you pilot list. If you are now suggesting it needs to be on there please suggest the skill it should replace. Maybe MK3 won't do much more damage but I now feel the mothership is the biggest difference. I'm stuck using the Orion due to cost of upgrading keel. And by the way the Mars is actually doing pretty good....but I'm trying different things with the freedom fafnir.

But, i am wondering, why to use fafnir (although i like this bot very much) with it's abillity disabled so it has more durabillity or extra damage or extra speed, and not the typhon, wich also has 4 slots for medium and an energy shield and it's abillity. The weapons are making the true difference indeed, but wouldn;t typhon be a better option with this (or any rebeling weapon build) cause of it's extras...???

Fafnir has more resistance on the ground. When it's on the ground it has resistance and is like a tank. When in flight the resistance falls away and you have the built-in weapon. Typhon does not have resistance - what keeps it alive is it's Aegis Shield. If your opponent has Shield Breaker the Typhon dies pretty quick. On the ground without the Typhon's ability the Fafnir is more likely to win. Typhon I think would be the better upgrade overall but remember there's quite a few players out there who had multiple Fafnirs from when is was meta. If they aren't using it, this might be an option.

How come the ability to transform is blocked for the fanfir? And other things are red so you can't use that ability? What causes that?

Because I'm using the Daredevil skill. I explained it in the video that if you have that skill selected you won't be able to fly. To sum things up so that you understand. Flying ability activated = weaker in flight as you have no resistance but a built-in weapon Daredevil skill (flying ability deactivated) = you can't fly but you do +18.75% more damage and you have resistance while on the ground In the current meta the Daredevil skill is better for Fafnir. Hope this kinda explains things.

I wonder if that same setup might be effective with the Leech, I don't have a Fafnir but I have a frozen Leech and the Rafael pilot. Right now I have two Freedom Igniters on my Fenrir

I'm not sure if Leech has Daredevil skill. If it does then Fafnir wins since Fafnir has resistance when on the ground. Leech only has resistance when it uses it's ability but if you have Daredevil skill (if it exists) then you most likely don't have your ability which means no resistance.

I haven't actually tried it with the Manni pilot so I can't really comment much on it. If you're running Traditionalist you can't run Daredevil - it's either one or the other.

It's not jump modules. You're referring to the flying ability - I explained it in the video. It's because I have the Daredevil skill. With this skill I can not fly but instead do more damage. This is why those flames are even more deadlier.

Ochos weren't nerfed. The reason why they are dying faster now is because players have adapted - players understand the Ocho better and understand you don't shoot them until their ability has ended.

Heyo Adrian! That build is crazy, but did you know rust weapons are bugged, they should stop 90% healing at 30 stacks but they block 100% healing. Tell Pixonic to fix this

I'm be curious to see footage of you playing that build. Out of the games I played it was pretty consistent. The thing is... not only did I do a video on it, I ran it during a live stream where there was no cherry picking involved and it still performed well. Also it's not just copying the pilot but the pilot skills too. It's more the Daredevil and the Igniters that make it deadly.

I have Corrupted Fafnir mk2 lv 4, but after a lot of tested setups, i find hes only good in PvE with lasers (non stop firing 😆). Guess it need a lot of resources (drone/pilot ecc) to work in pvp. Good for 2w then, not 4 me.

Probably because you have Traditionalist. There are some skills when you have it active it disables others. Are you running Traditionalist? If so then you need to click on that skill and change it for Daredevil. Hope this helps.

Which is why I ran normal Igniters at the end to compare. I knew players would jump to the conclusion it's because of them being "Ultimate Igniters". I've always said way back during the Fafnir and Revenant meta that flamethrowers were extremely deadly to tanks. If you had levelled up your Igniters back then you'd be using them now too except now it's far deadlier since we have the Daredevil skill on Fafnir.

You don't want to have that flight in the current meta. I would go with either Traditionalist or Daredevil. The Fafnir I had in this video you'll notice had no flight - that's because I was using the Daredevil skill. If you have the Traditionalist skill you won't see Daredevil unless you swap out Traditionalist for Daredevil (you can't have both skills active). Hope this helps.

I think it depends on which weapon. The Corona weapons actually weren't that great. Also watch the second game in this video because I didn't just use Ultimate Igniters - I used the regular one too.

No the last time I did he Fafnir it was the Fafnir with the Traditionalist skill. I think players are getting things mixed up. The Traditionalist skill gives the Fafnir more health but it can't fly. The Daredevil skill (used in this video) gives the Fafnir more damage but it can't fly.

More have them than you might think. But that's also why I used regular Igniters in the second game so that players can't use that excuse. I have always said Igniters were strong (way back during the Revenant and Fafnir meta) because they charge up the Nuclear Amplifier fast. The reason why this build is so deadly isn't because of the Ultimate Igniters. It's deadly because of two things - Daredevil skill (which I'm assuming you didn't catch) and the Igniter weapon - this could be regular, limited edition or Ultimate they're all deadly.

What’s the point of using a flying robot if you’re not going to even let it fly. Better use a robot with the same number of weapon slots but with a ground based ability.

When you compare this build to the Typhon the Fafnir actually performs better overall. Why? Because the Fafnir has defence points/resistance when on the ground. The Typhon doesn't have resistance but rather an Aegis Shield which wraps around the body of the Typhon. With more players running Shield Breaker to counter Ophions, the Typhon is at more risk in terms of it surviving attacks. Being that Fafnir has more resistance while on the ground, it allows you to stack even more resistance with Repair Amplifiers turning it into a tank rather than a flying robot. What I'm essentially doing is boosting resistance to the max using both pilot skills, modules and the robot's abilities and counter-balancing all of that with the Daredevil skill which boosts damage by +18.75% on top of the Nuclear Amplifiers damage and also Pascal. The above is the reason why this build is so powerful. How powerful? On Friday I was live streaming it (kzbin.info7Em4Jf1aaHU) and hit 13 million with 25 kills - I believe all of those kills came from the Fafnir Dampers. Granted that's not what I used in this video but I already know it will outperform Typhon as I've run both using very similar modules, pilot skills, weapons etc.

Anybody know of a channel where they have more realistic amounts of silver and gold? For those of us who only have 2 or 3 ultimate weapons. These are a joke. Dude has silver in the trillions! Some content that's helpful to the people who have rent and bills to pay, who can't afford to drop a couple grand on resources.

@@mmax_19 Which is exactly why I ran the regular Igniters because I knew players would immediately jump to that conclusion. I've always said Igniters were insane in terms of damage output even during the Fafnir meta but not many believed me.

I knew there would be viewers like you that would judge me based on using Ultimate Igniters which was why I used the regular Igniters to compare. Want to know why I use regular Igniters on my Baby Account? Because they're very effective. This is one of the reasons why I reached 74% win rate in Master League vs higher level players when my bots are only MK1 level 6.
