what if they gave the barrels wheels for 1 second. they move to the nearest enemy but you can cancel it with the alt move. also hitting barrels with trial by fire applies them to the area of the barrels

Mana cristal gives you only mana, no mana regen.

Each player has its own playstyle. Tobias likes to punish enemy mistakes, and Solarbacca forces fights. so the former prefers to stay in lane more, while the latter likes to all-in. therefor mana crystal isn't ideal for Tobias. sadly, at the end of the day none of these solutions are able to replace the corrupting potion for GP.
