Okay, so I watched your video 30 minutes ago and decided to go to that pond to catch a few Lv. 100 Magikarp myself. After meeting the 3rd Lv. 100 Magikarp and looking around, a shiny Magikarp spawned in the distance and I caught it! She's only Lv. 50 but damn, what a coincidence - and full-odds too! Last time I randomly stumbled upon a full-odds shiny (and caught it) was 9-10 months ago (a shiny Rellor). I guess some of your luck rubbed off on my game lol

I found it! I used your strategies with the location and found a slightly smaller than average lvl 100 shiny Magikarp last night. She was the second lvl 100 one I'd encountered since first watching this video, but the first was a regular one, not shiny and male, so called him King Karp. Sadly, my shiny oneonly has 3 attacks and they're all pretty useless, so aside from the bragging rights of finding her shiny, slightly small and lvl 100, there isn't much I can do with her. On the plus side, during my attempts, I found 7 other shiny Magikarp, a few with Marks (one I evolved), a wild shiny Gyradous and a shiny Chewtle and I've still plenty of Sour Herba Mystica left for other shiny hunts they can work for. So, thanks. Without you, I definitely never would’ve found a shiny lvl 100 Magikarp for as long as I lived.

Here's a tip for ShinyCatherine, and everyone else, you can hold "ZL" to lock on the Pokemon and it'll show gender and level. This would've made the process go faster. This also helps when you try to encounter the pokemon so you can simply throw the pokeball using "ZR". Edit: I forgot to mention this is also useful for finding Pokemon that transform into wild Pokemon until you encounter them (Ditto, Zorua, and Zoroark).
