He was playing with his food for too long. On the round where leslie was first found to be impostor by brooke and sykkuno, they, being crew, voted for leslie. She and rae, being impostor and jester respectively, voted for brooke to give themselves a chance to win. Toast then voted for brooke to extend the game, so when leslie killed sykkuno, the game was left to a classic impostor-crewmate-jester trio, meaning that without the impostor or jester sacrificing their win, crewmates never win.

I mean yeah, Rae was pretty much fucked at that point. She and Toast both knew Leslie was imposter, and that Leslie would vote Toast or Skip. Toast just gets to choose which one of them wins, so Rae voted herself in the hopes that he'd pick her. Rae should've won earlier anyway; she was executioner and Jack was her target but the game bugged out when he got voted of and didn't give her the win she earned.
