I'm 53 years old now and lived in ten states ..right now I'm in rural Alabama on 55 acres homesteading for the last seven years!! I probably will never make it to NYC but I have a few friends there. These videos let me see it anyway !! I can't imagine all those cafes to choose from ! There is next to nothing in my little town ! I absolutely adore cash's sense of humor!!! Love these videos so much!!! Keep em coming !

Can you imagine making enough to rent an apartment that cost 5750USD a month? That's almost 70k per year. Just for somewhere to eat and sleep. Assuming you work 265 days a year, that's 260USD per work day. It would be cheaper to rent in upstate and fly to NYC every morning and home every night. The audacity of charging that much for rent.... Wow.

Cash is really killing it. The slapstick style is knocking “outta da park” . I will say that if anyone is willing to plunk down over 5 grand a month for a 2 bed …. they really ought to consider Murphy beds to make full use of the limited space we see put on offer inside the five boroughs of NYC.

Cash barely averted a disaster! Those 1st 2 apartments had some of the craziest living room set-ups ever. Furniture placement would be a nightmare. Vi wouldn't suggest using the water heater closet as a pantry also. Maybe for pots & pans it could work but food??? Nope. I'm not a fan of the shared walkways between apartments. Any light that you do get will be lost by having to always use curtains or blinds for privacy so others can't look in as they're walking past. The last 1 must be a heating & cooling nightmare with those 15' ceilings. If you're gonna rent any of these you need to remember that you are responsible for heating, cooling & hot water costs in addition to the rent. & for that rent you better use the amenities every single day since they're included in the rent. For me it would be a hard pass but I'm sure there will be someone who will be willing to rent it bcuz it's in hipster Williamsburg
@sinash
@sinash Жыл бұрын
Good points about the heating and cooling. Maybe it's why it is significantly less than the other 2 units. But surprisingly the rents were not too outrageous given that it's Williamsburg and all those amenities are included in the rent.
@MamaCarola1
@MamaCarola1 Жыл бұрын
@sinash I just wasn't wowed by any of them for the price. Amenities were nice but you can't live in that pool 24/7. & you need to remember it's only open when they have a lifeguard on duty. With the current lifeguard shortage you hear about that's also a factor to consider

Closed old school looking diner could be remodeled into a top shelf top cat Hipster Home Two bedroom, 1 den ?, 2 full baths or 1-1/2 baths, laundry room, counter turned into cocktail bar and work desk at one end, the whole front would be living room space. Back of the seating, counter area would be a kitchen in middle, keeping see thru nook, bed rooms on back corners, bathrooms would be on each side of kitchen, den would be in any remaining space in back or up front at an end and a roof garden but not for people, just plants. There most likely a backyard space already there for green space and parking. What do you think there mack?

The building has amenities that are included in the rent, a plus. But the one-bedroom is almost the same rent as the two-bedroom, two bath! If the ceiling of the loft in #3 was just a teeny bit higher it would be a legitimate two-bedroom unit. The best bang for the buck is #2.
@sinash
@sinash Жыл бұрын
I thought #3 to be the best value. However, I agree with you that given a choice between unit 1 and unit 2, unit 2 wins easily. An additional bedroom and bathroom for an extra $100? What is there to decide?

Last one was pretty dang cool, I'm short so no head banging(unless I got my Iron Maiden playing lol) in that loft. I'd set it up as a study/lounge with no tv, put a big cushy chair up there to read books. Also for those units facing the parking garage surrounded on all sides by buildings, I just kept thinking back to my old Camaro SS I used to own. Headers with bullet mufflers, everybody in a 3 block radius would hate my ass when I fired that beast up at 4:00am every morning to go to work. Which being in NYC that would be enough people to get a decent pitchfork and torches type mob going.

Drapes, a few upholstered furniture pieces, a bit of carpet will take care of the echo. What troubles me is most of the apartments Cash shows have the refrigerator opening away from the counter, and often, against a wall. And i can say from experience that no counter space between the range and a wall is a recipe for a burnt arm. Is this a plot by the local eateries? They bribe the landlords to drive their tenants to buy their meals f

@@pheobefink2664 yes, I do know that putting furnishings in there will absorb some of the echo however the first two apartments shown didn't have nearly as much of an echo largely because the ceilings weren't as high. And I agree with you on the refrigerator thing, it drives me up the wall that they never have it facing the correct way.😉
