My visit to Japan was pretty disappointing for game hunting, but I also went to too touristy of spots, I realized you need to go off the beaten path always. Your videos show off a lot of cool stuff! I did find a lot of video game soundtrack CDs at least, if I ever go back I want to really go at buying a lot more of those CDs.

They go crazy for Rule of Rose in North America simply because it is really rare and had a lot of controversy surrounding it upon release. It is definitely one of the rarest PS2 games in North America, I have only seen it a few times in stores in over 10 years I have been hunting for games in Canada. You are right though, it isn't worth the price. COVID shot that up a lot, before COVID it was between $200-$300.

If your focus is games, cards, anime, don't go to touristy areas like Tokyo and Osaka and you will be fine, the major cities mostly upcharge for games. If you do go to Tokyo or Osaka only decent prices or games you will find will be really far off the main areas.

amazed STG Strike Gunner was going for that much! I rented that one on SNES once upon a time, it was an okay shmup. wide variety of special weapons, though. can't believe OR2 is going for that much over there, I found my copy of the US version of OR2006 almost a decade ago for *$1USD*! need to track down a US system to play it again, though.
