I removed all of the plastic from my Ks1s . Found an entire row where the plastic was overlaying the chips , preventing efficient hermal transfer.@@DontMindMeMining

I also have a couple of KS2 and ks1 where the heatsink are not perfectly flush, the middle chips had a gap of .2 mm . So they always get hotter. I had to use thermal pads to allow it to work with out getting hot. The quality is really bad. It's shameful.

Make sure ambient temps below 78F if running on stock fans or run AC infinity fan, also, is it possible that few chips didn’t get enough thermal paste? With AC infinity fan I was able to keep temps on chips below 82c

​​⁠18C you should be able to get your stock fans speed adjust to get chips below 85 for sure the stock fans a bit noisy running high speed, the AC infinity and fruition design kit links in video description

It’s a hard one, since it’s takes lot of time and 1.5 8g tube of paste. If hot chips temp higher by 20-30C then lowest ones I would probably open and look what’s wrong with those chips and if any film covering. If temps on hottest only 10C or less diff then AC infinity is great solution and quieter would use one with WiFi controller and it’s auto speed adjust mode works beautiful. Hottest chips I got so far was 85C when it was 85F outside just few days ago.

Why no to remove this plastic cover ? Does it have any function? I was replacing paste today and now im thinking just to remove it, how you think ? Appreciate your answer or knowledge who removed it, does it change anything? Thank you in advance

I think you can remove it if it’s covering the chips, someone posted before that they did t have that plastic before in previous version but it was added later. I don’t know if that isolating possible contact from heatsink to other onboard components or air blowing some particles that electroconductive, again these are just my guesses and no one was certain about it. Best is to contact iceriver service if they have any comments about it.

@@DontMindMeMining and what if it dont cover chips ? I have 3 grey chips and see some dust under that cover. MAybe dust block chip which shows tems/voltage/clock ? Since those chips are grey i have no idea what could cause that, it shows 6+th, but still 3 grey chips... my idea was to remove that plastic cover and clean dust, maybe that will help chips to show correctly. I trully believe that in few month those covers will be full of dust if you dont clean them every week...

Not sure if that dust is causing any problem but anything on chips between heatsink other than thermal paste will definitely effect temps.
